Lidl's quibble quibble 3 year tool guarantee

But if it is sold with a 3 yr guarantee, then the guarantee should be honoured, otherwise it's fraud, plain and simple. I've had a couple of parts replaced under the Lidl 3 yr guarantee with no problem. Perhaps the ops problem was intermittent and didn't show up when he returned it. He didn't...

    Power washer service

I went ahead and did it last night. Used it for a half hour or so then drained the hot oil out, let it drip a while. Then I added the appropriate amount of kero and ran it for 15 seconds before draining again. It was quite dark, I left it overnight and there wqs dark gritty sediment on the...

Lidl's quibble quibble 3 year tool guarantee

I'd have thought, in seven years you could have come up with a better comeback than that. Just joking. :)

    Power washer service

I bought a cheap Chinese power washer, 3600psi. It's actually performing quite well. I've attached a passage from the manual which recommends the first oil change after 20 hours running. I'm in or about that now however I've never heard of flushing with kerosene before, is that a thing?

    Removing paint from cement

Yes. That looks good, should stay level unlike a angle grinder.

    Removing paint from cement

Could you elaborate a little, did the metal rods scrape the softened paint?

    Removing paint from cement

The paint on this old house is terrible. I paid two guys about 3 yrs ago to paint it but it has deteriorated badly. I think it needs sanded back to the cement, sealed, primed and painted to make a proper job of it. As they say, if you want something done right, do it your self. So that's what...

Safe disposal of an unusual nail gun

Bit of a thread drift, but is it still possible to buy shotgun cartridges in GB without documentation. I was surprised to find out this was possible a number of years ago, since here in jolly old NI until recently "one" needed a FAC to buy airgun pellets.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

I haven't done it, but there are videos online. Another thing on my to do list. The main problem seems to be lack of power.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

I don't expect to power the house from it, but I reckon LED garden lights would do for a start. Have you researched it, I've seen DIY panels and solar water heat is doable.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

A wind generator is on my to do list but not from an alternator or bike wheel. Done that.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

I attended a bar b q on Easter Monday, walking in I saw a nice big hybrid car/suv type thingy I don't even recall the make. I hunted down the owner so I could interrogate him. I asked about charging times, he didn't know, how far will it go on a full charge, no idea. can you charge it while you...
