    naill gun for ringed nails

I bought a BAE coil nail gun in 2000 it's been used 5-6 days a week since I sent it back for some reason I don't quite recall about 10 years ago. The fixed it and sent it back and didn't even charge for the postage. Last year it developed a fault and I sent it back again. Fixed and returned for...

Q? Makita LS 1013 motor question

I used one of those daily for years maybe 15 or 16. The only trouble it ever gave was when the brushes wore down. They were cheap and easily replaced. I must have replaced them 3 or 4 times. The local agricultural agent stocked them specially for me.

    OSB

Thanks. I made a small temporary chicken coop in a hurry one afternoon 2 or 3 years ago I can't remember. Since it was only temporary I didn't treat or paint it at all. It caught my eye the other day and I looked it over. It is in surprisingly good nick. That started me wondering why it's not...

Has anyone used OSB outside for any length of time? If so what did you paint it with and were you happy with the outcome?

    Remember your first....

I remember my first proper 56 hr week labouring job at the tender age of fourteen. Working along side so called men, who berated and bantered whether the job was well done or not and were also not averse to some physical persuasion. A well what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

New EU power tool battery rules from 2025

Seems like a good idea, but in reality they will offer to repair the item for the same cost as a new one.

Lidl's quibble quibble 3 year tool guarantee

You highlight another point, I believe some of these tools, obviously not those with a three year guarantee, are made to fail in a short time. Sometimes you can fix the Achilles heel, and have a passable tool for many years. Not a woodwork tool but the principle is the same. Over 40 years ago...
