Buying a fully electric used car

There's a guy I deal with sometimes. His MO is to buy a clunker for a few hundred and drive it as long as possible, scrap it and do the same again. That's more like it. :)

Buying a fully electric used car

£300 repair cost is quite low compared to depreciation on a newish vehicle My Kuga will be 14 come spring I spent over £500 this year on DPM filter and new discs and pads, plus a bit of hassle figuring the DPM fault out. £450 seems a bit spendy for cam belt kit, but a lot depends on where you...

HELP I need a new desktop PC

A display port to HDMI adapter is only a few pounds. Which connection do you need? That's the spec of one I sold to a young Latvian immigrant, he was delighted as I included a Nvidia 710 graphics card complete with HDMI out.

And in today's post bag we have...

They've been writing to me for years. They appear to go in a circle, increasingly threatening and then resetting and starting over. I've considered sending them a bill for disposing of this unwanted clutter in my hallway.

HELP I need a new desktop PC

I've been using it for a long time. I had a look through my installed programs and noticed nothing windows specific so I downloaded the Zorin .iso put it on a usb stick booted from it and did a fresh install. Just fiddling around with passwords etc now. I'll try it for a while and see how it goes.

HELP I need a new desktop PC

I am far from an expert but I have played around with PC, for many years. I would suggest installing a linux distro alongside your win11. Maybe that's not possible in 11 but I did it in 10 so maybe. Someone else will know I'm sure Mint is recommended by many, Zorin is supposed to be similar to...

Here's an interesting video about getting more out of an older machine. I might switch when support for win 10 ends.

    Quickline broadband?

I don't think that will be a problem, as after a certain time the cables and exchanges have to be shared In this locality it was Fibrus doing the work but I was able to get EE and later Vodafone.

HELP I need a new desktop PC

After getting advice on here a while back, this is what I bought to replace my aging one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126591293475 Now sold out but similar is available. It's a much faster processor than the new one you're looking at. When it came the graphics card was not as advertised, so I...

    80W CO2 Laser Cutter...

It's not unusual to start auctions at 99p. It's also not unusual to put items on different places for different prices. It's also not unusual to see a scam advert. :)

    Back door steps

I'd like use concrete, stone , brick etc. Don't want to be doing it again If I level up the pit there will be +- 300mm to the finished top step. OK for me but SWMBO is a little vertically challenged and might be unhappy. I was thinking maybe 300 step from the back door 150 drop to another...

    Back door steps

I finally got around to starting to fix the back door step. It was covered with old red/brown terracotta tiles, which were falling off. At least until I tried to take off the remaining ones, which had a surprising grip. I got that done and wondered what I would use to recover it. Then I...

Good boy looking for a home

Dogs and children don't mix, and it's not usually the dogs fault. Never surprise a dog not even the one you've had for 10 yrs. No reason that he won't be a wonderful companion, if you treat him right.
