I don't think SS will send you anything free here in the states, hopefully someone who owns one could clarify that point.

Okay, I admit, that was funny

Why is it that you automatically think I don't understand and need to be taught a basic lesson of how saws operate? I've been at this for several decades and while I'm not oblivious to the "potential" dangers. I'm also careful and skilled enough to not worry about wood binding or kick-back. A...

Don't use YouTube to bolster our position, it doesn't help you. Yes it can happen but if you actually take care and know what you're doing, wood remains flat on the table, it does not take flight. Not all of us Americans are total idiots

When table saw safety comes up, I always hear people talking about 'flying pieces of wood" or some other such nonsense. Wood does not fly off of my saw, period. I have a splitter and guard in place for through cuts. For grooves, dados and crosscuts, I remove them. It's not difficult, dangerous...

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

Ive been woodworking for 40 odd years and I wasn't aware that my long fence was "a recipe for possible death". In my shop, the fence just sits there and doesn't cause any trouble. When I rip wood, it helps me get a nice straight cut. I haven't seen any signs of homicidal tendencies from it but...

    Pen Turning Blanks

I would just cut the wood to the best optimal square size, then determine if it could be cut shorter to get more than one usable blank. Other than pens, there are dozens of small turning projects that utilize the size wood blank you described.

I'll be very interested in the reaction compared to that of the U.S.

    Incredible project

It's not difficult to find https://timelesscomposites.com/the-trailer/ If you read the webpage, it's just cedar glue and composites 1950 KG (4299 lbs) similar sized Air Stream is just over 3600lbs

    Incredible project

You're covering the entire trailer, inside and out with strips of wood and copious amounts of glue, it's going to add some, no so insignificant, amount of weight.

    Incredible project

How many lbs/kgs did he/she just add to what is traditionally a "light-weight" trailer?

    Thought on AI

If AI gets to the point where it wants to build things, it will need to mine or otherwise acquire raw materials for it's 3D printer. Cutting down trees (which are self replicating) is more logical than using a finite resource such as oil.

    Thought on AI

If AI sharpened, it would be consistent, repeatable and precise, not ot mention faster. All the things you seem to think are antithetical to freehand sharpening. Is there anything you do like?

    Thought on AI

Point taken As far as AI stands today, the consumer stuff we're exposed is fancy autocomplete. You'll get no more intelligent answers than the material supplied, garbage in, garbage out. The datasets typically aren't known, so how could I be confident that the generated answer is correct? If I...
