Looking for a home for vintage hand mortiser and wooden moulding planes

That is lovely to see, thank you for sharing. I too think a museum or historical setting would love to have that. Those moulding planes are of value to the right person. Take time to identify and list them in detail and they will sell.

    router plate

You don't. You could just drill a hole in a flat piece of MDF and then bolt your plunge router to it. Then use 2 F-Clamps to hold down a 4x4" piece of timer for the fence, and then think about using bearing guided bits. Keep it simple and once you start using a router table you will soon work...

    Router bit becoming loose.

Trend sell little brass brushes to clean collets. I'd buy a new collet and the cleaning brush and keep on top of your new collet 😉

Fixing down soleplates to a single brick course?

Usually in traditional timber framing the concrete base has anchor bolts set in the base before the timber sole plate and frame is placed. Then they simply bolt the plate down. I think you should call your builders merchant and talk this through so you use the right dpc material that can hold a...

    Sharpening board station wood selection

If you check my IG link below you will see a photo of my sharpening board I made from old oak floor boards finished with screwfix yacht varnish. It has a raised section in the middle so I can flatten chisels without fouling the outer stones. All 3 stones are just friction fitted. I wouldn't...

Timber and finish for bathroom furniture

Maybe it's just that. A moisture resistant ply with a simple wood veneer glued using a waterproof glue and then varnished. After all, there are plenty of timber boats utilising similar techniques. I'd cast your research net towards boat builders Just be prepared for high maintenance to keep...

Pads for chair legs on wooden floors.

I've had trouble with felt pads slipping and I'm currently trailing a different method of application. I use the same pads with the sticky and added a dab of yellow glue this time. Left them for 1hr before applying weight and so far it has held 👍

Sjobergs Smart Workstation Pro dog hole enlargement

As I own the parf guide system, my main bench and my old home made mft table all use 20mm dog holes. All my dogs & pups are 20mm so when I bought the Sjobergs workbench pro I didn't actually realise it came with 19mm holes. Hence quickly reaming them to 20mm. My experience has and always will...
