Isotunes or other Bluetooth ear protection

I own two pairs of isotunes ear buds. I have the original 1.0 Isotunes Extra which hang around the neck and click together with magnets. Also, I have the other over-the-ear type Isotunes Pro ear buds. I personally didn't like the over-the-ear type as they are heavier and they just felt odd...

    Cold workshops and hot houses

An old soul told me a long time ago 'careful what jobs you win, as you will have to deliver them' It is OK for you to say this one isn't suited for me. Thank you for considering me, but I know someone who's workshop is better suited to building this for you. No matter who they are, if they...

    Metal Detector

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hand held metal detector for checking second hand wood for screws, staples and the like. I was looking at those airport security style wands on Amazon for £20. Has anyone any experience with those?

Adapt and Survive. In woodwork as well.

EG (No pun intended) but have you seen the blind woodsman https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf4rVfFNDfYylV4UR4SGo2g This chap is fully blind and turning on a lathe etc. This could be the start of something beautiful. Remember to keep your humour and listen to your wife - when she asks how...

External door warped - who is liable?

Can I ask: Did you check the moisture content of the timber before you built the door? If too wet, can later dry and warp. Too dry from the kilm and take on moisture and warp. Did you plan the moisture content of the project?

External door warped - who is liable?

Personally, I believe the UK legal position (statutory rights) is that a customer can expect a minimum of 12 months workmanship and material warranty from his purchase from the date of install. So unless you can prove it was down to something other. I believe you are responsible for resolving...

    I love being retired.

The honey do list never ends. Now, I know you said the bed is ready after many a whiskey - but are you adding slats for the mattress? ;) I think you could get a few more weeks out of that project :)

    Floating shelf question

I used floating shelf pins for mine and used them with 22mm MDF thick material. These pins are clever - the screw thread is off centre to the pin, which allows you to rotate it to centre it in the shelf hole ;)...

    My Incra router table build

Peter As someone who is interested in the Incra lift I've been reading this thread with interest. I'm now mostly interested in Incras position and business response when a customer has these kind of issues? How do you find them from a business point of view?
