    Help regarding doors please.

That looks proper odd 🤣 Notwithstanding that, I did the same with a flat faced fire door (fd30) and had fun with the top corner. You have to splay that leading edge in an interesting way to enable it to close and look right. If you really want a panelled door in that shape you could consider...

I wonder why the likes of Jessem & Incra hasn't developed an electrical control for their lifts?

Has Jessem & Incra (et al) been caught napping?

I've been looking at Rutlands new router lift with electronic display and digital rise & fall. Comes with a Life Time Warranty - If any router lift fails due to a material or manufacturing defect, the component will be replaced free of charge...

    Plunge Saw and Router advice

I'd like to give you a curve ball to consider. Consider the drool tools you can't afford in your budget and then check the second hand market. I've seen a lot of quality tools in good condition for a fair price. But remember, if the tool looks like it's been kicked up & down a building site...

Record Power TS2 Sliding Table Saw

One thing I've done is not fitted the right hand side extension table and I cut the fences guide bar to suit. So I can fit it in my single car garage width. I have a spare bar so I can upgrade it should I move and the space to use it. Lots of creative options with it if you think outside the...

Record Power TS2 Sliding Table Saw

One update since owning for a while now. The hand wheel that tilts the blade moves on its own!! It tilts the blade about 3-4 degrees. Never noticed it at first, and it balls'd up a few pieces of timber before I worked out what was going on? I've contacted Record Power, and they've never heard...

    Assembly / Clamping squares

I bought and use the plastic ones from Rutlands - they cheap and work well. Lots of choice there: https://www.rutlands.com/pp+workholding-more-clamps-clamping-squares-clamping-squares+b05170

    Rob Cosman Planing Technique

Ah, Mr Marmite himself. Or Rob Salesman as I like to call him. I've sadly listened to one to many sales pitches from him to take him to seriously these days. Which is shame because he has talent. As someone mentioned above - what has he actually made 🤔

Advice needed for covering a tiny external animal box

Thank you all for your comments - I've used the eBay link and opted for the heavy-duty version (10yr warranty over the 5yr) and have 1 m^2 coming for under a tenner - Thank you, Triton, I wouldn't have thought of eBay (y)

Advice needed for covering a tiny external animal box

I'm building an external tortoise box need to weatherproof the lid which is 600 x 500mm in size. I went to the merchants who will happily sell me a roll of felt for £30-40 As I only need 1m^2 it seems such a waste of materials and money. Then I saw this bitumen product for a tenner and as it...

    What higher-end bandsaw?

I was told the same for my 350 sabre - so I use the 1/2" M42, and it cuts lovely and straight ;)
