Drum Sander diy pre build question.

I may have completely miss remembered this, but I think Frank Howath has a video where he is repairing his drum sander which is a machine with the cylinder below the table. Might be worth a look to give you some ideas for design. Would be interested to see how you go on.

What is going on with wood prices right now

My brother in law runs a jacksons depot. Says there is a general shortage of materials and a very high demand. So capitalism dictates low supply, high demand, make hay while the sun is shining etc. If the question is why is the supply low I think we can pick our poison, covid, brexit, none...

    Dust Bong?

I assume that will be markedly different to a dust collector?

    Dust Bong?

@Trainee neophyte I mean..... Clearly I'm capable of knocking one together...... Just the electric bill that would concern me. Found this looked slightly promising. Less chance if electrocution but you can't have it all.

    Dust Bong?

My dust extraction set up is a 2hp extractor pulling through a Thein baffle then out through G4 filters then F7 filters inside the garage. For the most part this is working well although the finest dust does make it through to the filters. This is fine, but means I am fairly regularly (more...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Recently had my table saw to bits and is now back together. In preparation for making up a series of drawers for the builtin wardrobe I'm making I wanted to make sure the saw was set up accurately (enough) so decided to make a small project at the weekend. My brother dumped a load of this...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

The kids are staying over for half term. Trying to get them interested in something I find interesting. First thing made yesterday. Nothing exciting but one out of 2 seemed to enjoy the process.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

As with most things in my garage, and particularly with the table saw I own there is a great deal of DIY to get things working as I like. Yesterday I got my crown guard installed and working. Quite happy with it, but as ever I always think there is room for improvement. Inspiration taken from...

Fox f36-529 10"/Record Power tspp250 table saw advice

Evening all, Does anyone own one of the above? After an entire day in my garage which has seen me dismantle my saw twice I'm looking for advice/lived experience of alignment and issues with what appears to be an incredibly poorly designed tilt mechanism. Help me folks.... For the love of God...

    Dust collection pipe advice

I read or watched that it is almost impossible to 1 earth the pvc pipe and 2 create a environment within a home dust collection system that could be potentially explosive. From what I remember only the parts of pvc that are in contact with the copper earthing wire will be earthed. So you'd...

    Dust collection pipe advice

I'm no electrician, but my steel ducting is connected to the steel dust extractor which is earted via the power supply. I assumed it would not require earthing. I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell me different if I'm wrong though.

    Lidl visit

Kept hold of it. I assumed it was the disc breaking. But then realised the was plastic all over the place. The refunded no questions asked..... They didn't seem overly concerned the thing exploded for no obvious reason though which I thought was odd. Luck of the draw with these sorts of...

Let me know how you get on with yours. Potentially mine was just a dud. I thinks it's the risk you take with cheaper stuff.
