    Happy springtime neighbors!

Droogs can't say how much help your link was. I didn't even think of needing something like a copy attachment but that's exactly what I need for production. Uggh back to square one. Now that a copy attachment is a requirement what models of machines should I be looking at now?

    Happy springtime neighbors!

That's not a bad idea, buying something new then reselling. I'm sure it's possible as I've done it before. There's also the option here in the states to sell my cards at a discount. I might give up something like 10-15% but I'll get cash back.

    Happy springtime neighbors!

Thanks for all the advice guys. I've since been warned against the WEN line so I'll be saying away from their products altogether. Anyone have an opinion about this Delta 46-460 at Home Depot? I can get the extension and stand on my HD credit and have a 1 HP motor and 42" bed. Quality...

    Happy springtime neighbors!

Thanks for reading. I’ve finally had an idea good enough to sell that I’m in the market for my first lathe. I’ve got about $600 in store credit at both HD and Lowe’s so for now I’m gonna settle for something that’ll get the job done and then upgrade later. Any opinions about this WEN...

    Tapping plexiglass

Say you had a 1/2" thick sheet of plexiglass and needed to tap a hole that was drilled beginning on the edge and continuing in 3 in. What type of thread density would you choose, coarse or fine? The strain on the anchor will be fairly minimal.

    Converting a regrigerator

Thanks for all the help guys, and for that forum link. It's funny, I've been in many different types of forums on the net over the years but I've yet to find a group of people as friendly and eager to help as woodworkers, so this is where I sometimes start with my odd questions. I'm in the...

    Converting a regrigerator

I'd like to convert a regular sized refrigerator by cutting out the divide between the freezer and fridge compartments so that the whole thing maintains the same temp. Additionally, I'd I'd like to modify it so that it maintains between 50-60 deg F. Only problem is I don't know enough about...

Turning a bathroom into a refrigerator with a window A/C unit

Long story short, I've got some projects coming up where I need to maintain a consistent temp around 45 F for a few days. Only way I know how to do that is in a fridge, or possibly by turning my extra 1/2 bath (small) into a cooler using a window a/c unit. I think most window a/cs now a days...

    Older table saw motor stalling

Well, lesson learned is if it walks like a bad capacitor and talks like a bad capacitor, it very well could be a bad centrifugal start switch...and that's what it turned out to be. After getting the new cap in it did the same growl no start and after getting it all apart and cleaning the switch...

    Older table saw motor stalling

That's for the advice Tom. Turns out it's definitely my capacitor. I've been doing some internet searching using the numbers on the side of the cap but I still don't trust myself to find the right replacement. The word MALLORY is written above 'made in the usa.' What numbers should I be...

    Older table saw motor stalling

Just got this 30 year old Craftsman table saw for free because the motor's not spinning, 1HP 110v. Before sourcing another I'm curious if I can get this one working again. When you hit the power the motor makes a decent hum and sounds like it's trying to go. Also there's an quick intermittent...

    sandpaper backing vs. polishing

When sanding resin in an epoxy resin table up to 3000+ grit with a DA/RO sander, would adhesive-backed sandpaper give a more flat/accurate polish vs. hook and loop paper due to the potential for unevenness in the velcro system?

    Revealing the wood

I'm somewhat new to woodworking and I'm planning on doing some live edge tables. My issue is I don't have enough experience reading wood grain so that I'm able to predict what kind of color will come out of a slab once it's finished. As I'm meandering through the local mill is there anything...

Good and reasonably priced track saw

Thanks for the advice. After researching the alternative track saws I've decided I'm just gonna have to cheap out here as I've already spent a lot of money on tools recently. So I'll be going with a regular circular saw and straight edge guide...aka maple board and clamps. Can anyone suggest...

Good and reasonably priced track saw

I'm tooling up to do my first resin table and I'd rather not spend the $600 for the Festool track saw I'm seeing in all the videos. Is there a comparable model that performs as well? I definitely won't be a high volume producer. Don't need it to do any specialized functions. Just need it to...

    Resin resources

I'm jumping back into woodworking specifically to learn more about resin tables and similar projects. I'm searched all the woodworking forums that have come up on google but I haven't seen any forums specifically dedicated to resin topics. Is there something like this around, maybe sponsored...
