Hi @Diver So given the other comments here, I will instead answer the question posed about the AC355WL. I have this lathe and love it, as it was the largest I could sensibly get in my workshop with all of the features I required, I got a great deal at the time from Axi and I got a package...

I have to say I also went today and wasn't there long, it sadly felt like a poor relation to the Harrogate Show which is a shame as it's a lot closer. Less demo's, less stands, hardly any stalls selling timber just less :-(

My blades are Axi, but they had them in stock and I had vouchers, I believe generally here you only ever hear good things about Ian @ Tuffsaws. Both from the blades themselves and how helpful they can be if you speak with them about your needs. HTH Padster

I have the AC355WL - which would now be the AW355WL after the rebrand. I also have the SK100 and quite a few jaws etc. it works great in tandem. I believe and was lead to believe at the time that the SK114 whilst ok on the 355 is slight overkill and more suited to a larger capacity lathe...

I think having only just read all the this thread, that it is the right time and place to just say THANKS. I've been a member a few years (long enough to have just been here when there was the big move to the other site) - the shared knowledge has been invaluable, the likes a welcome self...

Love Axi - costs me fortune as it’s no more than 30mins away! Some bits are a little more expensive, the odd bit cheaper, but you can’t beat the knowledgeable people, helpfulness, ability to touch and feel, and fantastic customer service (I use Nuneaton). I also use Yandles on average 2-3 times...
