Using benchtop machines without dust extraction kit

I have to agree with MikeG. I ran my Elecktra Beckham P/T without extraction before I found a dust extractor perfectly well. Mind you it made a heck of a mess. I remodeled a cardboard box to guide/collect the chips before the DEx. I've often used a bandsaw without DEx with no problems.

    Buying habbits !

There is no thing as interest free credit as many others have already stated, the cost of the interest is built upfront into the price. Yes it is. Whoever's heard of a successful businessman giving anything away? The thing that really, yes REALLY, gets my gander up is that you cannot get a...

    Outdoor dowels!

Hasn't anyone looked at five bar wooden outdoor gates? Many have a dowel to draw the tenons together. The dowels are hardwood.

    Idiiot sander query

I have recently bought a Rexon EDS-300A 12" 300mm Disc Sander and am quite happy with it. However I have a tendency to burn the wood I am sanding. At an evening class in Uckfield I attend there is an Axminster 300mm sander and I only burn the wood if I stupidly try to remove too much at a time...
