    New member here!

My take on that saying is: you don't have to be mad to be here but it's so boring being sane all the time. 🤣🤣

Welcome to the madhouse Joe from the West Coast. Not too far away as I'm in the East though not on the coast like you. Have fun. Martin

    Drawer divider joint

How about through dovetails top and bottom then cover the ends with a piece of wooden trim slightly taller than the drawer divider?

Help appreciated with switching to LED downlights!

Is there an ingress protection, IPxx, rating requirement for kitchen lights?

My God! They must be enormous pills to need a van to move them about. If they're really that big I would have thought the scare of taking them would nullify any effect they produce. 🥺😰

    Any advice welcome

Some of the chaps at my local Men's Shed were very helpful when I needed to turn up a couple of finials the other month. Sussex is far too far for you but your local MS may be an idea. Have fun Martin

Water sitting in centre of shower tray

This is such a timely thread as I'm laying my first one next week. I note that the manufacturer states it should be stored flat otherwise it may warp and it should be played on a sand/cement mix. Good tip about loading the tray when laying it. Martin

    Thickness planer

Some years ago I bought a secondhand Elecktor-Bekham HC260 ( from memory I think I have that right!) and have been more than happy with it. 10" wide cut with aluminium tables. Also bought a secondhand dust extractoras I foundthis to be essentialjust to clear the chips. Added adjustable height...

I would recommend Bushboard Nuance panels for the walls: no tiles, no grouting and easy to fit and clean. Always look smart. Such as -...

Gas safety check on rental property. How much?

I have two flats in Ramsgate/Broadstairs. Both have a gas boiler and a gas hob. Basic safety check and service costs me £110 each so £171 seems a little high to me. Depends if any extra work had to be done. Martin

    Grammar Post

Just culled this from Joke thread III. @John Brown I definately agree. Grammer and speling seperate the sheep from the goat's. Is there an erroneous apostrophe or are the sheep being separated from some part of the goat's anatomy?
