It fell of the back of a lorry.

I had an embarassed driver turn up the other day. "Careful" he said, their might be paint on that. I did a quick check of the parcel (all ok). "whats the problem" I asked...."a 5 litre tub of paint just fell off the top shelf, hit the floor and expolded" he said. Everything in the entire van was...

Not dust extractors but workshop extraction

I believe most extractors are high volume low pressure, so are optimum with large pipe bores. Items like vacuums are high pressure low volume. Using smaller pipes increases the pressure and reduces airflow so not ideal for an extractor. Have a read of bill pentz site.. although its designed...

    Another day, another ticket!

Its allways worthwhile carrying a wheel clamp. That way, after paying £80 for yours to be removed, whilst hes taking it off....quickly whip round the back and clamp the clamper. Ask £80.01 to remove it   Adam

Similarly, as someone who has a work laptop and a work PC, I find I get a cricked neck working at the laptop for too long, as its too low to the...

    best height for a woodrat

Blimey. I wish I'd thought of that. I ended up making a little shelf to go next to it. Nwo you've said it, its rather obvious. It juet never crossed my mind..... On height, my thoughts BTW, are to have it as high as possible. You do end up looking underneath, so I'd recommend having...

Walnut Hall Table Part 2 - WIP (not the comp) **2.4Mb Pics**

Did you veneer both sides of the MDF? I was told anything 12mm, or less should always have some scrap veneer applied to "balance" the opposite side. Looking lovely. Well done. Adam
