What does 'organic' mean to you?

But that applies to both organic and non-organic equally surely? Adam

What does 'organic' mean to you?

Can you explain that a bit? Despite coming from a family who had a dairy herd, I'm a bit in the dark about how they "force" a cow? Adam

What does 'organic' mean to you?

Organic to me means reduced use of pesiticides/chemicals to provide the same item. I have no expectation of it tasting "better", or having better "nutritional" benefits, although I've no doubt some people would argue this. For those specific benefits I think fresh home grown food, havested and...

    Problem with Dulux Once

I tried it. Had to paint two coats, at which point, it rather didn't do what it said on the tin. I found the coverage just wasn't good enough. Won't be using it again. Adam

Help - Lamello Dust Extraction Adapter?

    Riddle me this

Does the mixture of grain direction give some "springy-ness" due to the wood fibres standing on edge that must be overcome to take a shaving (e.g. you have to push down harder) or, alternatively, take a deeper cut? Adam

    workshop build?

Just worth checking if this is the standard width of rolls of insulation? I can't remember offhand if they are 600mm, or 500mm? Anyway, make sure you choose a width that allows you to roll the insulation straight in without cutting. Adam

    Shed/Store advice needed please

If you overhang the roof more, you'll get less drips on the walls which might keep the moisutre out. Also, you will need to think about whether pools of water form near the plynth and moisture is drawn into the concrete base. Given the situation, I'd likely put a drain pipe and gutters to wick...

Thinking of buying a Wood Rat

I think cutting profiles on it is no problem. In fact, the nice thing is you can climb cut them if you wish. To be honest Tony, as an engineer, its only once you get the thing in your hands, you'll appreciate it for its versitility. I think of it as a milling machine, and use it in that way...
