Clamping Funny Angles - for spaceships!!

I keep a box of wings and fins for the kids in my classes to make planes / rockets / spaceships etc. I had an idea to run a chamfer along the 'body' part of the spaceship so that the wings can be attached at funky angles. Lovely idea - nightmare for clamping. I think wide masking tape is going...

Can you post some pictures? Can you move it to the point where the clip is hitting the table or even a little video of it in action? Martin

    moving advice

Did you buy it from a proper established auction house? Won't they help - or do they just want it off the premises? Otherwise - there do seem to be a lot of Cornish members on here.....

Rear End Of My Camper Trailer with Custom Made Door for my Mobility Scooter Completed

Love the coasters - good sense of humour. Door at the back for mobility scooter. I'm thinking Knight Rider style where the ramps come down and you reverse out on to the road. Am I close?

    Impressive new tool

Oh wow! This is how I imagined my future workshop would be when I was a teenager! You would just ping out the instructions to all the machines from your desk and then off you go!!

    Teaching - Drilling

Second hand tool shop near me had two of these yesterday!! Dob of grease inside and they run so quietly. Only 20cm and light as a feather. Could be interesting

    Teaching - Drilling

Teaching is all about the silly details. Capital letters, full stops, commas and so on. When you write down all the details and thoughts and things you say it adds up to a lot of waffle from me!!! The even younger ones do get to just drill holes in logs and planks just for the hell of it. Makes...

    Teaching - Drilling

Fair points. The blue 'foot print' brand drills proved too heavy anyway. I thought they were the answer - until they arrived!! The small one is very old school and open gears. I'm quite interested in seeing how the size and weight work out under v.close supervision. Then maybe 3D print a little...

    Teaching - Drilling

Hadn't really considered that with the MDF. Always associated the fine nasty dust with power tools. I don't always use it for drill scrap but maybe I should remove any bots from that box. Thanks

    Teaching - Drilling

Then I tracked down one of these. Lightweight, very short. 2/3 the length of the blue drill above. Just right It has been restored though and the new paint job has covered any makers marks / labels. No matter how many times I search small / short chest and breast drills I can't find a similar...

    Teaching - Drilling

Have been distracted - just a couple of things to finish off. Once you've sorted all the other stuff out. It can be quite hard for children to actually apply any push/pressure behind the drill so it can progress into the wood. They either don't have the grip and wrist strength to push forwards...
