Outdoor Gyms in UK- are there any proper ones?

+1 for this If you have some spare space with a solid floor - you'll get back the money you save on gym fees in about a year!

Does this sound like a scam?

Friend sold an ipad on ebay Same things started happening. Calls from abroad. Please ship it. Was all dodgy. Avoid like the plague

    Long time lurker finally posts!

There's also the Missionary Mart along that road. It's tucked away a bit, but has a sign up at the entrance. Might be of no use, but it sells furniture secondhand. Cheap stuff. If you want some cupboards to get your shed / workshop off to a start or a handful of doors to make benchtops with it...

    Hobbies treadle fretsaw

The back of the saw - where the wooden arms should be looks like the standard shape on most cast iron Hobbies saws. Iw ill try and post a picture over the weekend for you to look at. If it is a match - then you should be able to find / make replacement wooden arms easily.

The No3 treadle/hand grinder from MILLERS FALLS circa 1901 >

Looks very nice - I like the handle / treadle combo. I've only ever seen that when someone has adapted a hand crank tool. I'm with everyone else - you have to restore!! Imagine sitting out in the garden sharpening your tools on that.

    Changing water suppliers

Admit it - you've drilled into the big water pipe - it's not a well!!

Simple solid bench design / vice placement?

I'd agree with keeping the vice inside the leg. I think you're asking for trouble having it too close to the end. Construction looks pretty solid - are you making the legs out of two pieces or am I reading the drawing wrong?

    Workshop move

Try and put your feet up this evening! I don't trust any estate agents, financial advisors etc. I hope you manage to sort out all the crap in the house. Get your workshop sorted and at least have a bit of sanctuary down there. You should be able to get more fixed and sorted with a bit of light...

    Furnitureland - Oak Wrap anyone?

I couldn't find that thread - was in a hurry. They have been banned from showing the ads is the new info. They are trying to have the ruling overturned, but they have been told they are falsely advertising

What do you use your disc sander for?

I use the disc mainly for squaring off or shaping ends of timber free hand (or to a pencil line). I do us the belt - but not for anything subtle! Cleans off paint and scratch marks very quickly and good for shaping stuff for kids (rockets / swords etc : ) ) If space is an issue - I made a...
