Someone appreciates my limited carpentry skills

Before you know it, they'll be asking for shelves, couple of cupboards and a deck outside!!

    Router **** Up

Take it easy - don't hurt yourself! I like the fact that someone else uses mistakes as a reasons to down tools and have coffee! Probably why I don't get much work done in a day!!

    What materials and joinery...

Can we ask what you are making? With the kreg screws - I know this sounds obvious - but check the guides and do some test drills with scrap pieces of ply (or same thickness timber). It's probably just me - but I can't always work out the screw sizes and position of the jig. Good luck

    Some Restored Clamps

Those look amazing - especially the carver's clamp. Were they all car boot sale finds or did you pick them up elsewhere?

Do you need to keep a tidy bench to produce quality work?

Sustainable forest management - they're just seeding the ground with the next generation of trees

Do you need to keep a tidy bench to produce quality work?

I can relate to the OP completely! I am very messy and always struggle to keep on top of the mess - workshop, home and job! I forget where things are - so it's a bad combination of things! When I got my first pillar drill, I started drilling and making tool racks and holders etc.etc. Making...

    My Journey into Woodworking....

Was just thinking about a low level rack and stand for the kids' things in the hall.... sit down for a cuppa and there it is! Was thinking about a little seat as well. Going to copy that and make it smaller - if that's okay with you! All looks great, I hope it's appreciated by the family.

    car boot tool box copy

Lucky to find that at a boot sale. Great copy though - are you going to use them both?

Adventures in metalwork and machine restoration!

That's starting to look very nice. I suppose it helps have access to all four sides at the moment. Why is it going to be a challenge to get it into it's new position? Tight fit?

    WIP: Workshop Doors

Keep the pictures and posts coming "Eventually I'm going to combine my mitre saw or a radial arm saw (I have a thing for old equipment) with a split top roubo where the tool well can also function as a fence for the cross cut machine in question" I like the sound of this - have you seen any...

Portable Oscillating (Or is it drum?) Sander

My thoughts exactly - something that be tucked away until needed - I think that's the appeal. It can be set up when a batch of something is being made and then go away after. Not taking up a space in the shed all the time. I would get on the Rutlands mailing list - they often drop the price on...

    Frozen pipes

That sounds awful. Good advise though, might go an buy a handle for the street one and hang it in the cupboard under the stairs. Good luck with the clean up.

Portable Oscillating (Or is it drum?) Sander

Does anyone own one of these or has used one of these. I've had several Rutlands special offer emails about these in the past. Never seen anything like it before! About to embark on a handful of props and scenery bits and it strikes me as something that could have some use. Not about to rush...

    Robot assisted carpentry

That's very creepy watching them carry the planks up to the chop saw. Fast forward a few years and it will be humans getting carried towards a giant saw!!

    My First Box

Very nice - I can see the secret compartments straight away though - they'll need disguising better! ; )
