Clockwork Motors / Pull back toy cars

I've done basic rubber band / elastic ones quite a few times. They are always a bit disappointing.

Clockwork Motors / Pull back toy cars

I already have some - somewhere - and they look pretty similar. Will have to order some more though. Dry glue is fine - it's just that I have a tight timetable. Fifteen cars (x2 driven wheels) is 30 wheels plus running repairs. It's for a morning group - all parts and projects would have to...

Clockwork Motors / Pull back toy cars

I want to make some toy cars with children that use a clockwork motor to power them along (or a pull back version) Is this practical? Light as possible wooden chassis and pine or mdf wheels. The output axle from the clockwork seems pretty smooth The output axle looks much smaller than...

Plaster (boarding) over an asbestos ceiling? How best to do it?

If you cover it in plasterboard / plaster over it - what gets put in place to warn the future builder against ripping the ceiling down and covering himself in asbestos dust?

recommend me a tool kit for teens

Pull saws can be awesome but they won't work with traditional bench hooks unless you clamp the wood to the hook. They are thinner steel too and even a little bend from someone heavy handed and they can start misbehaving. Definitely easier on the hands though and good for teaching keeping the saw...

Without sounding sarcastic - good first aid kit and plastic gloves. Safety glasses are easy to find on Amazon. Children who already have SEN may prefer a selection of types as well as the goggle that fit over glasses type.

Saw and mitre box combination. Bench hooks are very useful - but can be hard to hold steady. Some sort of clamps or cam clamping for the bench hook helps a lot. Hand mitre saws where the saw runs on guide rails can be very effective - good clamping options for the wood against the rear fence...

    UK Travel Ideas

Look up the South West Coast Path - don't attempt it all. Some of the sections along South Dorset are interesting and varied. Could combine with Corfe Castle, (Steam Railway to Swanage from there) Poole Harbour Charmouth Fossil Beach, Lyme Regis, West Bay - a bit further along into Devon...

    web heating advert

When you google reviews for it - there are a ton of angry reviews saying how useless it is or how it only works for a cupboard sized room. Lots of people are getting them though. I think the back story from the engineer part is striking a chord with people and making them less sceptical.

    Second Hand Titan Table Saw

Table saws aren't the quietest of things anyway - but you might find this makes such a racket that you'll annoy the whole street.

    Hire a Micro Digger?

Sounds like fun. Are you planning on using the digger to move stuff around and level the ground or dig stuff out and transfer to a skip? Where will the skip go and how far from the digging site? Will you need wheelbarrow and space for a ramp up to the skip? Can you get the digger to the...
