    More garbage from China

Have to agree here - Axminster seem to have dropped the ball with QC over the years, I bought a secondhand TS200 for £300 from another casual forumite which had hardly been used (I think I might have mentioned this before - getting some deja-vu) only to find the reason why he'd hardly used it -...

Advice on table saw on 8x4 table...

I made my bench with my Kity 419 at the end sitting on a shelf, and the kity (forerunner to the Axminster TS200 & Sheppach clones) is small enough that I can swing it 90 deg so it's either in wide rip mode or long rip mode using the rest of the bench as an outfeed. I don't use it for sheets...

    Old duffers rebellion.

Artie considering the tripe you (and others) are peddling, you should be thankful that's all you got - why are you picking a fight with one of the people whom are on the front lines dedicating (and risking) thier own lives to help others? His profession requires him to have a greater...

    Old duffers rebellion.

You're barking up the wrong tree deadeye - we've been telng rorschach that for almost a year with all the evidence that has been presented, and yet he hasn't stopped; why would he do so now? He thinks he's right, even with empirical evidence to the contrary. "He who knows, and knows that he...

Settlers of Catan - or cutting hexagons...

oh that's too easy..... hole cutter in a drill of close to desired size, stack them up on some threaded rod through that hole then either spin them up on a lathe or make up a drill powered "lathe" which is pretty rudimentary and planty of examples around to copy. once you've cleaned them up...

What do you filter your paint with and into?

^^ These if I'm spraying and it matter, but for general filtering of paint or varnish that's been stored for a while, I use a "have around the house" option of tights / footsocks stretched over the mouth of a large jar like coffee - and I've even prefiltered using a small sieve such as might be...

This puts the Virus into the shadows

haha wow. I think you might need plans for a bigger tinfoil hat. Sorry but have you EVER really LOOKED at the planet and what's happening? There are seriously unstable countries with nuclear arsenals at thier disposal and that's just for starters of the things we have no control over in the...

This puts the Virus into the shadows

the Bill Gates bit I said myself not long ago in the thread about how it was all the old peoples fault and... got shot down as usual. They (" the greens" and those younger generations that will need it the most) don't want it because they believe as spetric does and have been brainwashed into...

I don't think they would believe it nowadays?

There's a youtube of an american father asking his teenagers (15/16ish) kids to make a telephone call with an old fashioned telephone - he gave them a minute and they didn't figure it out :)

leather sheath for small serrated saw, how to protect stitches from teeth

Just in case it's not been said - fold a thin strip of brass instead of plastic - it'll be thinner and much longer lasting, no real issue with cross corrosion as back saws have had brass spines on them for well over 100 years.

"No mistakes, just happy little accidents", if only more people were like Bob; you should google "what happened to "Bob Ross" paintings - there's a thing about on youtube and it's pretty interesting.

    Pandemic projects

Hey now don't dis the Grifter, I had one of the early ones, metallic red, and it lasted well over 10 years and that was me doing jumps with it and allsorts alongside my mate who had a BMX (polished chromoly frame with those 32 spoked wheels - well flash!) - the twist gears did get stuck twice...

    Not Lanemaux

If I'm too late then I am very sorry to hear of your loss (and in some ways ours as well if I may say so) - I'd like to share a little commentary he and I had in sept 2017 whereby he was talking about his Cannabis usage for his pain relief and he said this in a post: The recreational types have...

    Anvil Prices - What's Happened?

If you want hand crafted steel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpCdsQVewO267HkwWeDSusg - SHE, is a newish scandinavian artist working her way through traditional techniques and looks like how I imagine a proper Nordic Valkyrie should (though when she's hand polishing it can be a bit...

New logo or lets house the homeless veterans

WHY did it need a rebrand anyway? - Look what happened in the UK when the Royal Mail spent millions rebranding to consignia (iirc) only swap back after only a few months Rebranding the Spastics Society (yes it really was called that) I can understand but BL makes no sense other than filling...
