    Outhouse Project

It looks like there is no gap between the door frame and the brick, so you will not be able to insert a board to screw too. I do not know what you can do apart from a bodge unless you take the door out and start again.

It looks like you need a shopping trolley! A lot of saw dust in your extension lead.

What gap do you have between the frame and the bricks. It appears to be narrower at the bottom!

    Outhouse Project

I would leave the bricks alone, just hide the mess. Scribing a 3x2 to follow the rough profile of the end of the bricks would be a "challenge". When you have made a half decent profile you will have a bit of timber that most likely can not support the door frame and has gaps around it which will...

    An idea

I would be surprised if they are not protected by copyright. If you were adding in some way too them you may get away with it but I do not know.

The expanding foam looks like it is holding the window to the left in place. You can see one screw into a rawl plug but most of the brick was blown off when the hole was drilled. When you remove the foam you are likely to have a problem with this window as well. Not sure what you are planing to...

    Would you walk up?

A quick search reveals 4.5m long ones on ebay. 4.5m plus 1.5m for you gets up to 6m long. Would be surprised if longer ones are not available with a bit of research. I have seen people in real life clean third floor windows with rods from the ground so there may be adapters with a bend that can...

    Would you walk up?

Asuming the work was done in last couple of years I would write to them again referencing the previous letter to which you still have not received a reply. Inform them that you will be taking the matters to the small claims court if they do not refund the money for the guttering that they did...

Turmeric is it any good for aching joints

Turmeric is good in curries but I would not have one everyday. Why not make a mild curry once a week.

That's quite cheap if you have a use for those sizes But it looks like one of those snack type things. If you left it out at Chritmas someone would take some and choke so you will have to be carefull if you have guests with poor eyesight.

Interesting films about Russia, essential viewing!

The end of the USSR was f-ed up by people trying to turn it into the USA. Nothing should have been sold off like it was as soon as possible. They should brought in advisors from Sweden, Denmark and West Germany who could have told them the good and bad things about those countries. Then slowly...

Casting staddle stones, anyone tried it?

There is a place called build it near Slimbridge, have no idea what they are like. nearest place I have worked around there is Ciren. If you are adding ballast to a 20kg bag of premixed concrete you will not be able to add much to get anything for structural use. If you are building a carport...

Casting staddle stones, anyone tried it?

20kg is not much. That will give you about 8 litres of concrete, so 4 litres each. 2500kg/ m3 no allowance for waste. I assumed you were making some thing a bit bigger like in post. You can buy aggregate in small bags, some place call them handy bags because you can carry them, but not to far...

Casting staddle stones, anyone tried it?

If you buy one "handy" bag of all in ballast and one bag of OPC the cost of a weaker mix will not be a lot less. may as well make a structural mix.
