    I have put plaster board on stud work. Not sure why MDF would be easier. Also the MDF will not have the fire resistance.

    How about old receipts etc. If they had no management procedures they have had no disposal of records procedures so there may be unlabled boxes in the loft with mixed contents in. A nightmare to sort through unless you have a certain temperament,.

    If the building has been built (or there has been a major refurb) since about 2000 there may be a thing called the health and safety file that is supposed to be produced under the CDM regulations. It may list the materials used in the floor so you may be able to get details from manufactures...

    I would assume that they need a certain amount of new fibre. A few years ago I listened to a program where they were making paper and they said that paper can only be recycled about five times as the fibers break and become shorter. I assume that less overlap means lower strength. Maybe they...

    I would assume that the aluminium foil tape would act in a similar manner to zinc connected to steel.
