    Storing Wood

If you have a room that you do not use much and is ventilated that would be best.

    Storing Wood

Then try and store it in a place in your house with a lower humidity, so that it does not take in water and expand.

from wiki ""The Heartland Institute is an American conservative and libertarian public policy think tank known for its rejection of both the scientific consensus on climate change and the negative health impacts of smoking.[3] Founded in 1984, it worked with tobacco company Philip Morris...

Am I out of touch ;-)

Where I have worked in the UK we have called them lump or club hammers. Not sure the ratio but maybe more club hammer. Never heard of drilling hammer. Have drilled a few holes over the years to drop a nail in to set a theodolite up over when we could not find a some soil to knock a peg into or...

    150mm round pipe?

I know nothing about the design of dust extraction systems but have studied hydraulics back in the 80s. The flow will be determined by the roughness of the pipe, its size and shape, and bends and junctions. Corrugated pipe is rough on the inside so will set up eddies slowing down the flow. A...

    Does the kerf size decrease

I now understand what you were trying to say. I would have said that; The difference between blade width and kerf width must be constant to maintain the distance to the splinter guard (assuming that they are no packers that change and they are both on the same center line ~ don't know if any...

    Does the kerf size decrease

I am knew to plunge saws but this does not make sense to me. The teeth in the kerf do cut the rubber strip. If you ground off the teeth and just had a toothless blade then the kerf would be the blade width (a flat toothless blade would not cut much but that is a different story.) Your diagram...

I think the proposition is that those who received their pension during the last 50 years should repay it. Could be one year or 49 etc years.

    Order tracking

It is far easier to sell a £200 router for £50 in a pub than to sell £200 of children's clothes and toys. If you have a package from power tool company it is more likely to have a product that can easily sold. Most packages do have the company of origin on them but why make it easy for them and...

Understairs cupboards....first project of this type ever

I assume that the drawers will open into a room so that you can get around them and they will not be blocking the hall which could be a pain. Have you considered putting a divider in the drawers and making it two sided. maybe one deep side the other narrow for small things. My first job was...

    Order tracking

Maybe there should be an option to let the driver know the contents of the packages. I would not opt for this but obviously some would.

    Order tracking

As AJS pointed out to me the OP may want to leave the house when there are no high value or time critical items about to be delivered. I suppose this could become a problem if you receive many parcels and do not have a secure place for them to be left whilst you are out or can not answer the door.

    Order tracking

Amazon certainly operate a dump it and run policy. generally they e mail you when they ar going to deliver. But about a a month ago I was sitting on my back steps eating lunch. i herd a noise at my front door walked to investigate and saw an Amazon van diving away. It was £20 worth of PPE but...

    Heatwave

And like driving if you want to change lane it is easy to avoid something in the road ahead by turning the steering wheel slightly when you first see it. If you you wait to make sure it will damage the the car before taking action the steering will be more severe.

Where did all the water go?!?

I am not warping the subject merely disproving your belief that somethings may not effect climate change. Actions by individuals will have a small effect but if many people carry out actions then they become significant. Antarctica has been glaciated for tens of millions of years. What...

    Order tracking

I have only ordered stuff on 3 or 4 working days delivery so I have not forgotten about it. Last week I got some clamps from Banggood UK that were supposed to come on Wednesday but arrived on Tuesday. Clamps are good. I had looked at the tracking site that morning and it did not say that they...

Where did all the water go?!?

You are correct that breathing emits C02 and water vapour but as if you suggest we were eliminated from the face of the Earth I am not sure our breath would make a difference. We would be replaced by other large animals who would also breath. It is what we do that makes a difference. We have...

    Every activity affects the climate.

Where did all the water go?!?

Scientific research often has no obvious point at the time other than satisfying peoples curiosity and intellect. Then maybe ten or fifty years time it is suddenly useful.
