Another table saw thread buying question - Dewalt v Evolution Rage...?

I have a similar set up to the OP and have the Dewalt, which I'm really happy with. A good set up + the dual locking fence makes accurate cuts really easy. Would definitely recommend it.

    Dowel jig

Anyone have any recommendations for a good dowel jig? I'm looking to drill equidistant dowel holes into parallel mdf sheets to support movable shelving.

    Finishing

Hi All. Just finished a production desk rack for a friends music studio (copied from another design, but made with plywood). Not sure what to finish it with is given the kind of wear and tear it'll get. Any thoughts? Wax / oil / varnish etc? Cheers.

    Decorative Carving

Hi All, I'm making a small wooden box and I'd really like to do something decorative on the lid, but really have no idea where to start. Can anyone recommend tools / good YouTube instruction videos etc?

    Portable table saw advice?

Also have the Dewalt DW7485 and can highly recommend. If you want something that's for really small working, you could always go for a Proxxon Fet Table Saw.

My first thread….table saw, sander and dust extractor….be gentle….

I have a Bosch Gas 25 which is amazing and well worth the money (about £350). Filtering is amazing and suction is great. I do a fair bit of work with MDF, so I also picked up an Axminster air filter too.

    New Member Intro

Hi All, My name's Ed. Always been interested in carpentry since studying it at school, but it's only ever been a hobby since then. Now got a little space at home to do the occasional bit and thought I'd like to learn a bit more. Cheers.
