Which saw for my buisness - advice really needed!

I would recommend a second hand Delta with the quickset blade clamps, at least two speeds. happy scrolling Steve

The National Forest Wood Fair, Beacon Hill,Leicestershire

I was there on Sunday as well, I too bought a bit of Brown oak and a nice plank of beech. Enjoyed bodgers corner the most, though the chainsaw carving was good as well.

New to scroll sawing- please help!

Sam, welcome to the forum, cutting 50mm is about on the limit for any scroll saw, my recommendation would be to lookout for a second hand Delta with the quickset2 blade clamps with variable speed or at least two speeds. (But I'm biased 'cos I have two, a 40-540 and a 40-560) happy scrolling Steve

    Oil finish

I bought a tin of Chestnuts Hard wax oil for finishing my scroll work but after 6 months it went solid in the tin, so I now just use Danish oil.

foot switch for a scroll saw

If your saw has a NVR switch then the saw will want rewiring to bypass it.

    Pinned blades

I would seriously think about taking your saw to the Warrington shop and have them check it out, that way you'll know for definite whether it's you or the saw.
