    Thicknessers and pillar drills have a vertical scale, try looking for spares for one of those.

    If you don't mind second hand look for a Delta with the Quickset blade clamps. I've been using a Delta 40-560 type 2 for over 25 years.

    I think you need two spanners, one to hold the spindle and one on the drive centre. I'm with Phil, I don't think it has a morse taper.

    I'd say go and have a look, won't hurt anything. There's also one in Worksop and also the Hub in Huthwaite, not sure if that's along the same lines as men in sheds though.

    Fret saw blades

    I use 3 sizes of Niqua Speed reverse tooth blades, No's. 2/0, 3 and 5, available from several suppliers. For 15mm I would use the No. 3. Other good makes of blades are Olson and Pegas.
