I used to watch the old cowboy movies(Audie Murphy, Randolph Scott etc) and many of them centered around a fort, deep in Indian territory. I kind of feel thats what israel is. It's deep in a territory American feels is very important to America. Reason there is much of the worlds petroleum comes...

    AXMINSTER Workshop AW1950B Bandsaw

How are you cutting 150mm on a saw with a 135mm max depth of cut ? Or is that a different saw ? On my 10" RP i removed the entire upper blade guide assembly which increased the depth of cut from the original 125mm to a 167mm depth. Nice sharp blade and you dont force the cut and its not...

Oh absolutely. That was a terrible massacre, which of course could have been avoided. Last time i checked Ukraine wasnt a NATO member. Yet the US is supplying them with war weapons of all calibers. We are all aware that this is a proxy action. But as the Ukraine is an ally in all but name, it...

And do the Palestinian people have a right to defend themselves ? and if so how proportional should that be ? And what about Iran, that was initially attacked by israel. Does Iran as a sovereign country have the same right as israel(and every other country) to defend itself, and how proportional...

Im not holding one of the oldest civilizations on Earth as any sort of a saint. I am pointing out that that the United states throughout it's extremely short history has acted like an empire in attempting to force its influence throughout the world.

SAWSTOP CTS Compact Table Saw 230V

That was the one i was initially looking at before the sawstop announcement about selling in the UK. The thing i didnt like about it though(other than the price, but hey, thats Festool) was its lack of mitre slots, so you couldnt use a simple mitre gauge for basic crosscutting, or make up a...

SAWSTOP CTS Compact Table Saw 230V

Im not sure these 'freebies' are anything other than a loan. And even in that instance you'd need to probably have a high number of subscribers. Unlikely they'll just hand them out to any John, Mick or Barry. On the sawstop compact(or jobsite pro) anyone know if these are induction or brush...

Cant you just drill holes to suit ? Its mild steel so easy to drill, or even enlarge the holes and use a couple of washers Alternatively use the holes on it to fit a piece of 18mm mdf/ply and use coachscrews to attach the bandsaw to that.(or double up the mdf/ply to 36mm for the screws to get...

Criticism of the israeli state is not antisemitic. That is the first point. Secondary, the attack by Hamas on israel was a retaliation for decades of oppression, and the vast majority of the victims were soldiers, as in israel the military are embedded into the population. Thirdly. Hamas...

The Coup in Iran was the CIA's first successful coup operation. Mosaddegh was removed from power and Iran's oil shares were split amongst the British, French, and United States for a 25-year agreement in which Iran would earn 50% of the oil profits How remarkably nice of them to allow Iran 50%...

    Home made turning tools

What about HSS on ebay. 20x5mm at 200mm long is about a tenner. Obviously for use as a scraper. Round bar for gouges, but that seems a lot of work, and as above, you'd be cheaper just buying a 2nd hand gouge.
