    Repairing a cordless driver

It may be worth you investing in a kilo of Silica Gel ......I've used it in the past to dry out electrical items that have been immersed or subjected to exposure to water and it's always worked a treat.( dropped my I Phone into a toilet once..!!! 🤬) I also store small packets (Tea Bag size) in...

Help please- Creusen grinder humms but won’t spin

Did I miss something....?!? 🤔 At what point in this thread did @Tom say that it was a 3 phase machine...? The switch clearly shows it is 230v single phase and the fact that it's a small motor & got a capacitor speaks volumes on it's own...!

When some people use the expression to "move on", its comments like this that it wholeheartedly should be relevant to.

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

As I recall, ....We were not at War with Brittany or Normandy or any other part of France during WW2, they were our allies....So, on what basis would we have had any moral or legal right to have " kept" any part of their country as a "trophy"...?

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

This is the biggest concern!.... It has never ceased to worry me that when clearly presented with facts, truth and evidence, some people are still believing they made the correct decision to vote Leave. I am constantly reminded by my Wife, my friends & family that I need to "move on" from that...

    Which Festool extractor

If its main use is going to be on your mitre saw, then the Midi would also get my vote. I regularly use a Mk1 Midi fitted with a 1600mm long x 36mm dia hose on my Kapex and it works a treat.👍

    Kity 619 Table Saw.

A good few years ago ( probably 10 years now) I bought a Kity 618 & an Elu radial arm saw ( both from the mid to late 80's era) for my home workshop from a lady who's husband had recently passed away. The Kity saw had a similar switch to yours on it Andrew, but was completely shot & melted...

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

I bought a pre made 16a "Commando" extension lead with a Male plug on one end and a female socket on the other end for use with my recently acquired MIG welder. Its Blue cable and uses 2.5mm Arctic type cable.......Its okay for flexibility and fairly tough, but as @Phil Pascoe said, it's not a...

    Buying from Europe

Admittedly AES, JAW911's post is useful due to the situation that buying from the EU is now far more difficult than it once was, but to imply that by using that company as a go between is a new benefit is hard to swallow.
