I was sent a sample pack of Mirka "Iridium" mesh backed abrasives the other week.....Tried it out on a couple of different types of material including Solid Surface,....Its impressive, leaves a really good finish and seems to last for a long time...👍👍👍Dust extraction is excellent.

I've tried a couple of Saxton blades over the years but have relegated them to "rough" work cutting.....Like breaking down sheets of MDF & Ply or cutting up T&G chipboard flooring......They dont cut anywhere near as clean as a Festool blade in my tracksaws when cutting MFC or MFMDF. I suppose...

There are proprietary cleaners specifically made and sold for cleaning cutting tools, but DNA would do what you ask, it would likely take longer though.

Denatured Alcohol is what I use.....It doesn't damage the plastic or any rubber parts and cuts through most grime. Its handy to have a bottle anyway as its uses are extensive. ....Dont leave the lid off the bottle for long periods of time though as it will evaporate away in a very short time.

I was just lucky to find it to be honest.......Allen Bradley seem to be big in VFD's it would appear. I'm going to take it apart and check all the connections over the next few days, but as I said earlier, I'm not going to spend too long trying to fix it as i can just swop the motor for a 240v...

Well, I have managed to find out the make & model number of this VFD in case you were all wondering...😁 It's an Allen Bradley 1331 AAF07. I've found a couple on Ebay and they look identical but do have a label on them. I've still got no idea how old it is though....
