I couldn't agree more! It all comes down to managing your expectations......I could have purchased the UJK router table from Axminster Tools and paid a hell of a lot more for it and my expectations of quality would have been a lot higher, but as long as these so called "British" manufacturers...

Festool Antistatic hoses are Green & Black and non Antistatic hoses are pale Grey. The sleeved version g1_lo is selling, is Antistatic coz I dont think Festool sell the sleeved hose as a non Antistatic option. I have that same non Antistatic hose, and it certainly is not static conductive.

With all due respect g1_lo,....The Grey hose is NOT Antistatic and is substantially cheaper than the Festool Antistatic hoses, which are Green & Black. You may want to change your description. 👍 Edit. Here is a description...

As Spectric stated,....Its listed as structural/ shuttering ply......I would never have assumed that it would be good enough to make cabinets from....not even for my workshop. The sales picture is misleading, but they appear to have covered themselves with the disclaimer in the description.....😧😧

The long, thin sections are about 18mm square x 340mm long to give you an idea of size. (Pen blank type size...) You can see how much the colour of Bog Oak can vary from the pictures, but all these pieces came from the same large section I had originally.

I've got a few Bog Oak off cuts Mike.....Some of it really Black and a few Browner pieces. I'll see if I can find them and take a few pictures for you to choose which colour you prefer...👍

I dont think the missing collar necessarily needs to be made of steel......I have a Startrite pillar dril and its locking collar is made of Aluminium and it holds more than well enough....

I'm sorry Conrad,....but I completely disagree with your rationale. The OP purchased the shelving unit on the premise that it was advertised as Solid Wood. If the vendor wasnt 100% certain of what it was made of, he should not have stated it was "Solid Oak" It arrived and has now been confirmed...

The grain directions are all over the place and not consistent with a "solid oak" bookcase......I'm sorry to say, but it appears that none of the pictures you've posted so far would suggest that there are any solid oak pieces....😧
