    I found the same thing happened when I first tried machining this stuff with normal TC straight cutters. As soon as I used a solid TC spiral compression cutter to make the cut, it was a much better quality finish on the upper & lower surfaces as well as the core edges.

    Knob replacement

    Yes,...Preferably a metal knob/ handle rather than a plastic one. One of the plastic knobs on my bandsaw broke in a similar way to the OP's.....I ended up replacing it with a metal Bristol Lever.....had no problems with it since.

    That will be what I had delivered that time I reckon Doug.👍 I really struggle when lifting/ carrying a sheet of 25mm MRMDF.......I certainly wouldn't fancy picking up a 30mm sheet 😥

    I've had MRMDF delivered before and it was 18mm stuff......The 12mm in the middle was green but the outer 3mm surfaces were normal MDF colour....!!?? ......I think it depends on the brand....?
