    More on the Jet 310P/T

Hi Ivan - your comments will be forwarded direct to Jet's chief engineer in Switzerland Mark's comments a few years ago on this forum resulted in Jet machining the face edge of the fence - I'm not aware anyone other manufacturers have ever gone that extra distance any feedback on how Jet can...

Before you buy From Axminster - do your research!

Hahaha - touche  :ho2 Wizer - all are available - I will try and ensure that by mid-jan they are online (although if you buy a new machine the manual is included? then again having them online will help e-bayers and the chronically forgetful) :occasion5: Nick

Before you buy From Axminster - do your research!

^ the majority of reponses to your initial post so far just confirm that statement - just maybe not in the way you'd expected though. Please feel free to try and source any Jet items direct Jetman

    The Eagle Has Landed!

Hi Wizer - the midway mounting points also allow you to perform taper cuts, as per image below (thanks p11dom - i've used your original) - just place the left hand lock handle into the upper threaded hole (arrowed) and you can swing the fence back to 0 degrees to the blade. Hi p11dom too -...

    ELU Bandsaw

Hello George Elu was originally a Swiss company and noted for their very high quality products. Elu routers were a class apart. Elu was bought by Black and Decker many moons ago - most Elu derivative machines are now branded Dewalt. The bandsaw you have is a decent enough machine. (I used to...

    Thank You Nick (Jetman)

Thanks for the 'Thanks' Mike (and Kevin) - no problems and happy to help out Although less of the 'went out of his way', as you do realise my bosses read this forum?, and I deviated from official company business during company time  (only joking btw - it's not like I flew to egypt to...

    Aldi Spot Blaster

Mike if I can help out I will, I'm actually passing Aldi in Chester tomorrow morning as I'm seeing a customer just down the road from there - Is there anyway of knowing if it's in stock at that store? If it is, I'll happily pick one up for you. Do you want to drop me a pm to sort it? Cheers Nick

    Jet JTS-250 "timing" belt

Hi Richard - yes, the design upgrade was introduced to overcome the effect of dust building up as you described - with decent extraction most early machines were unaffected - but constant heavy use did see an issue on a small number of machines - hence Jet reacting and changing the design. If...

    Jet JTS-250 "timing" belt

Hi Shadowfax, we have the belts in stock. I've just sent you a pm with my phone number on it, feel free to contact me via phone or pm if you wish, as depending upon the age of your saw there are two different belts available. Jet upgraded the mechanism for the timing belt about a year ago, and...

    Machinery arriving on Monday...WooHoo

Nice one Trim- as already mentioned, any feedback like that is much appreciated - I will also link this thread down to the heavy goods team in Devon, as I'm sure they will be interested to see your pics and thread with ***** the driver in (I won't post his name on here, but I know him well -...

    On off switch/ buttons

Hi Reg, as Slim said, the whole point to the 'flap' is that it acts as a larger surface area to press when you need to stop the machine.. If you push the red button on the yellow flap and the machine doesn't switch off, then you may have a problem, but that is what it is there for. regards Nick

    jet versus rojek

Hi Paul, to the best of my knowledge all the machined faced fences were made from scratch, it wasn't possible to machine the original extrusion with the grooves in it. Cheers Nick

Jet Thicknesser - Timber Sticking on Exit

Hi yfs1 - apologies for not replying to this thread earlier All of the obvious solutions I would have suggested have already been mentioned. It may well just be a 'one off' where something has gone wrong in production and things aren't where they should be on the machine - we have an extremely...

    jet versus rojek

Hi Mike - yes, no problems - can you pm me if that's ok? - I will make sure you get it at the reduced price, but I've just realised that just phoning direct to Axminster or dealers may cause problems because they will probably have it on their systems at the normal price around £55, and you...

    jet versus rojek

Hi Ivan, thanks for the comments - likewise thanks to all others too, Mark appreciated yours especially, in fairness if you hadn't have made that thread then we probably wouldn't have made the changes, so it's all worked out for the best I reckon - hope all is good with yourself too. Ivan...

 hahahaa - knew I should have put a disclaimer on it :) Stephen, do it as an avatar and you have a free set of blades 8) (chances are the admin/mods will see this as advertising so I will get it in the neck - Hello admin/mods too :D ) All further entries are closed btw  Cheers...

    jet versus rojek

Hi Waka, I saw your earlier thread, and I have already mentioned your comments, although again in fairness yours is the only case we have come across with this issue? That's not to say it isn't an issue, but when the blue power socket connects, there is almost like a a 'double click' when you...

    jet versus rojek

Hi Ivan, I'm on the case & will post back with a price. In fairness I'd beg to differ that the original one was any worse than most other ali fences on the market? 'Not fit for purpose' implies it was banana shaped or something which really wasn't the case. The original fence design in my...
