    Have you thought about using concrete fence post instead, much less expensive and have a recess for the shed wall to fit into, space out the cladding over the post to form a rainwater drip.

    We have changed around the configuration of our conservatory which means I need a new power socket in the porch, there is a socket on the other side of the wall in the living room which I installed about twenty years ago, what's the betting I will hit the cable when drilling between the two...

    Short answer is No, you can see how the blade is rubbing on the table in the last pic, must be some way of adjusting the table I would have thought.

    Absolutely, if the fall is too great there is a danger of the flow causing the fluid and solids to separate and leave the solids behind, too little fall and the solids will inhibit the flow, there is a formula to back this up, but normally it's a case of putting a 25mm block on a 1m spirit level...
