Installing wall cupboard over electrical conduit

In a compliant French electrical installation on a TT system (common below 100Ω) the cable from the earth spike will be min 16mm to the consumer unit and then 10mm min to the water and gas and any other extraneous metal parts, but I think there are more P&O electricians in France than cowboys...

Installing wall cupboard over electrical conduit

Your Ma in law was not stuck to the Gas cooker due to the earth being attached to the gas pipe, there was an electrical short to earth elsewhere that caused that.

Looking for a good UK plunge/table router

A triton router in a table is an absolute pain, every time you want to change bit the interlock on the switch comes on and you have to get on your hands and knees to unlock it, many many better router out there for a table, I ended up with a Hitachi 1/2" Router and a UJK lift, not more knee...

    Handrail brackets

Started to fit the Zipbolts, and looking for instructions for the drilling dimensions, Axminster just posted them to me in a plain plastic bag, this should be easy to find I thought, the only place I can find the instructions is on Amazon, is it any wonder that most on line shops loose out to them.

Jessem clear cut stock guides modification to fit Dewalt 7485 table saw.

The Jessem stock guides are the bees knees. I screwed an aluminium angle onto the side of my TS250-2 fence to fit the stock guides, one of the best mods I carried out, you can just see the angle at the end of the fence crown guard removed for clarity, but if you want to see the overhead guard...

    Reds under the bed!

I have said it before on another thread, I am reminded of the Harry Enfield comedy character "Only Me" "You don't want to do it like that, you need to do it like this"

    Reds under the bed!

"Never argue with an *****. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." Mark Twain. Seems the software does not like Id**t and keeps changing the word too silly.

    18v tool brand choice

I have always bought DeWalt 18V for the last forty years, now on the Brushless LiIon drills, only with 2Ah batteries as the weight of anything else is too much for my old arms, the old Nimh powered drills now have an adaptor to use the Lilon, but the old brushed drills are way heavier than the...

Sealant, vertical gap between widths of brickwork?

Just to give an idea of the imposed expansion joint in my garden wall, every second joint down from the top has SS reinforcing bars resined into the stretcher joint across the crack, sorry expansion joint.

Best paint for a galvanised/slightly rusted metal roof?

If you are only looking for it to last a couple of years then an ordinary oil based paint may last that long, get a garden sprayer, thin the paint and spray it on once a year, will probably last long enough.

    Handrail brackets

Already have our handrail supports, if you look back on the thread it was discussed at length and eventually I found some locally like the green posts and rails by the way and the ground level rot collar.

    Handrail brackets

That video shows a Zipbolt by a different manufacturer which is what I am using, the polyester glue is just to waterproof the end of the rail, I know that Epoxy would be better, but I already have some pine coloured Polyester resin, thanks for the thought.
