    Pantry WIP

Am I missing something here ? I remeber my parents having a 'pantry' complete with a 'Thrawl' which was the very small room where foodsuff was stored to keep it cool -- well before we had a fridge never mind a freezer. There's no way that there should ever be a radiator in there !! That...

    Bobweight WIP

I'm interested to know why you didn't use 'Tabs' on the outline cut and go right through on the Denford. This would leave you just a little cleaning up of (probably) 4 spots.

!! Of course I meant Captive NUT !! Don't you consider that there will always need to be some adjustment available? Even if the clock is kept in the same place, there may be a change in the length simply due to prevailing conditions but if the clock is moved to a different location it will...

How will you be managing the 'length adjustment' Brian? - A captive screw on a threaded bar or a simple clamp? (are there other ways?)

    One family's solar story

My property is oriented with a 'corner' facing south (within a couple of degrees so I have panels on two roofs, one facing ~SE & the other ~SW. I also have a Silver Birch which has a 14% shading effect on the SE roof. The bottom line is that with a 4k system I can expect ~3.35k - 83.75% - so...

Spend-thrift :ROFLMAO: - I'm a tight-wad - don't 'pay' for any TV - but that does mean I have to take what I'm given :dunno:

What is wrong with some people?!

Still is if I have any say in the matter.

What is wrong with some people?!

The only way to make tea is to use a pot and never ever tea bags! Oh yes, milk should never ever be added (nor sugar!) I drink something like 3-4lt per day using this method. [EDIT] - meant to add that scones are only fit for the dustbin! - don't waste good Jam on them.

    Email account has been hacked.

Wrong!! - There will be a setting within your e-mail client which alowes (or not) notification that the message has been opened. This may not be so for every e-mail client but certainly is for some/many. This does not preclude the fact that images (particularly .jpg) can also contain 'nasties'.

    R15 Router Lift and Motor

I have the same product but as badged by Lumberjack - it cost me £158 when I bought it a few years back and is now £230 - £50 less than Rutlands. There IS a height lock facility which I seldom use - - it's just a little fiddly as you have to tighten a star-nut by blindly feeling underneath...

    2mm diameter drill bit bends?

I somehow doubt that you'll find 'Brad Point' at 2mm Ø - as @Fitzroy has said, use a centre punch or Awl - I would have suggested a solid carbide drill but again it's doubtful if you could find one to drill 15mm deep - most would be 10mm, maybe 12mm max.

    Rulers.

You would not be expected to unless you had been involved in any of the (few) trades that retain the measure - unless, I suppose, if you had made a study of 'measurement'. It so happens that I qualify on both counts :) It never ceases to amaze me how some 'knowledgable' people try to obfuscate...

    Caption competition (sort of)....

Whoever designed that page may well have thought about the time on his watch and blanked it out but they missed the [Made in England] cast into the bed!

Isopon body filler - what a 'con' !

That's not QED at all - - - you haven't factored in the SG of the product. I have no idea what the SG of the product is (it will certainly be greater than 1 though) but assuming that the fill is at the lowest end of the allowable amount (97.5% of 250ml) then if the SG is 1.3 then you do...

    Rulers.

The Ψ is simply the Greek letter Psi - used in many mathematical formulæ, so it's meaning is context dependent. I can't type it directly either so I just did a "copy'n'paste" - if it were possible to select a particular typeface in the middle of a post then you could use 'Symbol' to access...

    Unidentified Bird Call?

Try the one about "Old Mrs Rutter" ( she has a rough cut Punt) :ROFLMAO:

Workshop lighting upgrade advice required please.

Sorry to correct you @Inspector - 'Lumens' is the measure of 'Brightness'; 'Kelvin' is the 'Colour Temperature'.

    How sad.

Thanks for posting that @Phil Pascoe - I hadn't come across Patricia even though I am very much 'into' the genre of music she performed - (I don't scan YouTube) but I'm sure that she would have come to my attention in the fullness of time. Glorious voice.
