Metering the workshop electrical supply query

Or if none of that 'floats your boat', go the simpler option of saying £x per month to them. Easier and simpler IMO.

Any (post 2008) Economists in the house? - Inflation.

These are all very questionable and selective links.

You disappoint me. Surely Mummy driving Sebastian daily to his private school falls into your purview of wasteful use of resources ?

    Lots of hot air

Sorry...watched it. Too many assumptions to be credible.

    Linseed Paint - sorry...

Linseed oil paint (LOP or sLOP as I prefer to call it) is the Spawn of Satan. It is ghastly stuff. Painting it on as thin as thin can be, it still takes forever to dry. If your final brush strokes leave any small 'tramlines' then these will skin over leaving raw paint underneath and so very...

    Transfers at airports

@starlingwood I think you have made the right call. In another life, I do recall failing to set my alarm clock in the hotel room. I managed to shower, pack, check-out, catch the hotel shuttle van to the terminal, collect my tickets, check-in, go through security and having my first...

    Wood waste

I've 'zoned' my dust extraction into those machines that generate mainly chippings such as the P/T and spindle moulder (Axminster 2200 chip extractor with modified fine dust filter) and those that generate mainly dust (table saw and linisher) (Camvac). My chip extractor bags go down the...

    dust extraction

I'd go with Doug71...that table saw is relatively small. I use a Camvac with my table saw and suspect it is very similar in 'suck' to the Scheppach and works fine.

    Lots of hot air

Interesting statement. Do you have any evidence to back up that statement ? I don't have a view either way but when someone makes a black and white statement like that, I'm always interested in the provenance.

Pointless objects are not the exclusive domain of the wealthy. Take that smartphone in your pocket. The early mobile phone worked very well.
