    I want some sardines

I get my man to catch and fillet mine. Not sure I see your problem ;)

    Bulb Energy has gone pop

Not as simplistic as that. Basically a lot of the smaller companies were effectively running a Ponzi scheme. Plus they were not mandated to hedge against future price rises in generating costs. OOOOps...you covered that  Poor regulation.

    Getting rid of sawdust

I simply get in my car and drive down to the local recycling place and tip it all in the wood bin. Sawdust. The lot.

    bandsaw blades

+2 Tuffsaws I don't recall the ins and outs but Dragon Saws was Ian's company. Business can be harsh. Whatever. It doesn't matter. What matters is the fact that Tuffsaws and Ian provide superb products and excellent support.

    Workshop gloves......

Gerry, you've not said why you want gloves. If it's to keep your hands clean then, as others have said, latex or nitrile....some are allergic to one or other of them. Also I find that the lack of thickness has got a lot worse since Covid. BUT if it's to keep your hands warm then I swear by these

LED downlights too bright - can I dim?

We've got Varilight dimmers and found them so-so. Triple in the kitchen. One channel has failed to dim anymore. Second channel will periodically throw a hissy-fit and flash on - 0ff - on before it decides to stay on.

Care to share them with us ?

    COP26 progress or same old

I am not the one bigging it up about my alleged credentials but without any backup or verification whatsoever. So I will ask again...if you have spent so long becoming an expert in this then where is the evidence to support your assertions ? Peer-reviewed papers, for example?

    COP26 progress or same old

I think you will be waiting a VERY long time. It's so easy on a forum to say that you are brighter than Einstein and yet provide zero proof to support that viewpoint. Just keep on saying it and hope that you convince people. Or simply delusional.

    COP26 progress or same old

Um, so you keep saying but we only have your word for it. Show us the proof please. Where are your peer-reviewed papers into "Why Climate Change is not Manmade ?"

Lee Valley and linseed oil paint

I think I will nickname you "Wriggle-wiggle". In one post you say "You need added zinc for external use, to avoid mould" and now you are saying you don't have to. Wish you'd make up your mind. Well, I have. No further interaction with you over this. I've been looking at some of your past...

Lee Valley and linseed oil paint

Believe me, Jacob, growing mould has nothing...zilch.. to do with how you apply it or what it says on the tin. Grey mould without zinc oxide - guaranteed. You said so yourself on 18 August "You need added zinc for external use, to avoid mould." You then went on to confuse further by claiming...

Lee Valley and linseed oil paint

I had the happiest day of my life on Monday when I took some half used tins of Allback to the tip. It got even better when I realised that one of the tins had never been opened. Unless you add zinc oxide (which kinda negates their so-called Uber-friendly eco message ) it's a feeding ground...

Have you had your booster *** ?

They really do seem to be making a bit of a Horlicks of this. I keep getting text messages offering me a booster and a link. Thing is I've already had my booster.

Have you had your booster *** ?

Anyone with the NHS app and had a booster...does your app show this ? Mine doesn't.

    Energy Saving

Or watching a WVM (white van man) crazily cutting in and out, forcig into tiny gaps, watching all the cars behind having to brake, a danger to all and sundry.....only to see the ***** pull into a garage for petrol 3 miles down the road.
