Moving from Devon to SW Scotland

We did a similar move but in reverse a few years ago. Day before completion, midday, I left my wife to manage the departure and removal men and drove ...sorry, crawled my way ...down the M6 to our new home having booked into the village pub for the night. M6 predictably dire, rang ahead to the...

Moving from Devon to SW Scotland

Watch out for access at either end of the journey. Removal vans can be huge. We got caught out because one bend on the drive to our place was too acute for the vans and they had to get a local firm with a smaller van and transhipped into that. Many, many trips from the village to us. The...

How easy is it to fit a kitchen?

Watch out for waste pipe dimensions. If it's an oldish property with original waste fittings then they'll need an adapter. Much better to get one ahead of time 'just in case'. DAMHIKT. Compression-fittings were suggested. Pushfit and plastic pipe is even easier but make sure they use the...

    US Election November 5th

Please take off the 'victim-mode' spectacles and actually read what ey_tony posted. Didn't you start a thread spouting and promoting exactly what you are now accusing ey_tony of? It's called 'trolling'. Don't bother to reply. You're on the Ignore list

Don't hold your hopes up. I've got half a container of Wet and Forget, that you're welcome to, as our moss just sniggered at it and treated it as fertiliser.

    Keir Starmer

That is one of the most abhorrent posts made in all the years on this forum. Another one on the Ignore list for being Pig Ignorant. Tosser.

Ah, OK. So until I pointed out your deliberate omission, you were OK to try and use statistics to suit your agenda? Fair enough. At least we know where you're coming from.

Not true. From the website you referenced earlier. 12% are Albanians. Last time I looked there wasn't any persecution of Albanians. Or a war.

Have you actually looked at who a lot of the private doctors are ? They also work/are employed by the NHS. The whole area is grey. I went for a life insurance medical. It was carried out by an NHS consultant wearing his 'private' hat on and inside a room in an NHS hospital !
