    Guns,guns, and more Guns

Just added the qualifier that you accidentally left off. You have to go through a lot of hoops to buy one legally.

    Guns,guns, and more Guns

Well, it's not common knowledge to me and so would you like to share your sources? Any actual references out there to support what you've written ?

    Panasonic Ultra Blu-Ray player problem

Well, have to confess that I'm finding it hard to tell the difference between 4K HD and normal HD.

    Best advert on Youtube

Intriguing. I have Adblock installed but I still get those wretched initial adds. TBH I'd be happy to pay a small amount of monthly dosh to view ad-free but the usury that YT charge makes that unlikely.

    Workshop floor levelling

I think that the inevitable flexing you will get with an OSB floor will guarantee cracks developing at the joints in the OSB. I agree with Ian.

    Strictly Come Rigging....

I couldn't agree less. You are confusing so many different programme types. X-Factor...one of dross. It holds little of any interest for me as it seems to me they are simply cannon-fodder for YABB. Yet Another Boy Band, I'm a celebrity....facile. Total lack of any talent or development of...

    Panasonic Ultra Blu-Ray player problem

Hoping that there is someone here who knows more about this stuff then I do ! We have a Samsung Ultra 4K TV which, as far as we can tell works just fine. Just taken delivery of a Panasonic Ultra Blu-Ray player and when it is connected to the TV, it keeps switching to black and then a few...

    Strictly Come Rigging....

You do like your sweeping generalisations, I'll say that for you.

    Strictly Come Rigging....

I don't think it harsh at all. Coming out with a sweeping generalisation such as 'self-appointed experts' without bothering to actually do any research into their credentials. My age is irrelevant.

    Strictly Come Rigging....

Before confirming your bigotry and showing us your prejudices, why don't you do some research and look at the biographies of the judges ?

    Strictly Come Rigging....

I have long realised that there are two groups of people in this world. There are those in one group who light up a room as soon as they enter. Rose is definitely in that group. However, it would seem that the majority of posters in this thread are intent in remaining in the other.

    RCD/MCB help

I can't agree with that statement for several reasons. First, you have no idea on the size or type of his property. Second, you are applying 'current' best practice. The newer regulations suggesting, for example, split upstairs lighting from downstairs lighting is more a question of...

    RCD/MCB help

The MCB is only there to protect against overload. It would be pointless to have one in the neutral feed. No, an extra MCB would not proivide any extra safety. It is the RCD that protects you against shock. The RCD was doing what it was supposed to do. There is often a very slight voltage...

    Puzzling email question!

I never get spam. My email account has been out there for the last 20+ years. Have they sussed I'm a tightwad ? But seriously...I never get spam.

Passport number for deliveries from Europe!

Or driving licence. Makes requests for photo ID impossible. I also resent some companies assumption that everyone has a smartphone. As for giving an ID number...make it up. They have no way of checking as far as I am aware.
