Linseed oil and linseed oil paint

Blackfriar's Anti-mould. Then get some Zinser Cover Stain to seal it all in and apply a proper paint of your own choice. That is exactly what I did and very glad too. No mould.

    Sir Paul

He lost his voice years ago. IIRC he opened the London Olympics. His voice was very weak then. Billie Eilish (not sure if Spectric was deliberately mis-spelling her name) is a very talented young lass and her lyrics are excellent. She prefers to rely on her talent and keep her flesh covered...

Linseed oil and linseed oil paint

I am, as I have posted before, 100% against linseed oil paint. Yes, I do know how to put it on thinly. And I do know that it takes forever to dry. And I do know how badly it attracts aka feeds mould and fungus. I have an outside building where I 'bought' into the hype re linseed oil paint...

    A radical suggestion ?

Carry on then. Keep sniping at everything while adding nothing in the way of constructive input.

    A radical suggestion ?

OK...yes...I know that this is an Off-Topic sub-forum BUT...... There are some topics that are binary. You like it or you loathe it. Conservative v Labour. Brexit v Remain. And more recently Monarchy v Republican. Nothing anyone will say will make any of us change our positions. So, if...

Squirrels. Love ‘em or hate ‘em?

This has to be one of the most stupid and ignorant posts ever made on this forum. If Trump was still President then most of Ukraine would be toast now with millions dead, imprisoned or tortured. How you can suggest that it is Biden keeping the war going just shows your stupidity.

    Advice on spindle moulder purchase

I don't share that view. I also used to have a 636 and made loads of large windows etc. Power feed was fine and must have been smaller than yours as it never tipped the machine over.

    Advice on spindle moulder purchase

No you don't. I made a load of windows back in the day with a small Kity 636. Power feed is ideal. And look up 'false fences'....best advice my old boss ever gave me.

    Advice on spindle moulder purchase

No, you don't need a more powerful machine for those types of wood. When you say size of table, are you referring to infeed/outfeed? Simple enough to make add-ons. A good sliding table is essential for scribing, say, the ends of rails etc. Going on a course is essential IMO as it gives...

Yeah...they said that about Brexit and just look where we've ended up. Still trying to find the creek...let alone the paddle.

    Joke Thread II

I listened to a lot of the Hall of Fame. If I never ever have to listen to anything by Einaudi then I will die a happy man.

    Temperature controlled kettle?

I think there are two issues at work here. First is saving money/energy. But for me and the missus, it's that we drink Japanese tea and that really likes 70 degrees. Decent ground coffee needs 90. Mint tea does very nicely at 90 as does ginger.

    Hammer A3 31 updated review

I seem to recall seeing a 'mod' done to the digital control where you used an electric drill to wind it up and down quickly. I have a combi and which has similar workings. I agree with a lot of what you said...my two gripes are the fence is not that good at maintaining zero and I'm concerned...
