    Record cl2 running rough?

The manual states - Lubricate with a 30-40 grade lubricating oil or if this is not available a good quality motor oil SAE 10W-40 is a suitable alternative. I've started a private conversation with you

    Record cl2 running rough?

Drive belt in good condition? Do the points on the drive & live centre line up? Other than that it may be the piece of wood. Can you try another piece?

    Machinery wheels? Casters

I like Carl Holgren's retracting castor stands. There are a number of versions designed for different machinery. As mentioned earlier, for stability, they allow the machine to stand on it's own feet whilst in use but can quickly be moved when desired. -...

New EU power tool battery rules from 2025

The European Union has adopted a right-to-repair directive that will make it easier for consumers to get their devices fixed. The new rules extend a product's guarantee if it breaks under warranty, while obliging manufacturers to repair devices no longer covered. The law still needs to be...

Stopping epoxy leaks with glazing putty?

Mini pallet cling film tightly wrapped around the outside should stop the leaks & be removable. Might need the filling to be done in several orientations so that gravity fills the voids at the bottom as the piece is rotated. A cling film dispenser/handle allows a really tight application of the...

    Phillips / Posidriv Screwdrivers

FYI: There are also modulus (also called plusminus) Pozi & Phillips screwdrivers. Probably quite specialised but electricians tend to like them.

    Realigning blanks

I've seen numerous professionals tap a piece back into concentricity but it only works sometimes for me so I rely on the lever method I posted above. Edited the post to add a warning about burnishing.

    Cleaning abrasives

To answer several of the replies above: • A wire brush will clean the abrasive but will also help wear it away whereas silicone just cleans out the crud. • A rolled up plastic bag also works but doesn't last like silicone & is harder to control.
