Wood burning stove for the workshop?

Must admit the diesel heater keeps you warm whilst lighting the wood burner & waiting for it to heat up. Somewhere I've seen a video that purports to allow a change in the settings of the 5kw model to turn it into an 8kw model. Not tried it so don't know whether it works or if it applies to one...

Some advice on sanding chestnut bowl?

This would possibly get more replies if it were posted in the turning section of the forum. Rotary sanding, with either a drill or hand held rotary sander can be helpful in such situations.

'Worked it out with a pencil' always brings a smile to my face as it was the solution to constipation of one of our neighbours back in the 60's according to the over fence gossip.

    Where to buy Bandsaw blades.

Just be aware that I have had 6 Tuffsaw 1490mm 1/4" & 3/8" blades break, not at the weld & a further one which I bought on behalf of an elderly neighbour suffered the same fate. Ian replaced one of mine & my neighbours free of charge. I reverted to Axminster for these small blades & had no...

    Bandsaw Blades - TPI

I've cut 300mm with a 6 TPI blade because I was being lazy. Slow going but it worked. Had I changed to a 3 or 4 TPI blade, the finish would have been rougher.

Wood burning stove for the workshop?

My 5.5Kw burner was sized for the gap it had to go in not its output. The single skin flue goes through a twinwall polycarbonite roof using a self stick flashing which can be molded to suit the roof contours. I used the higher temperature rated flashing but with hind site only needed the lower...

    Woodland Workshop on TV

I went to record it on the Humax set top box & the EPG reported "No channel information". When I tuned in to Channel 12, I got a message saying that the channel is "scrambled or not available". Channel available on the TV so it must be a Humax problem.

Not only that, but is likely to be very hard, possibly spring steel. The OP will have a job to damage in normal use.
