Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

I think I forgot to post these as well. It’s a different stop for the Domino for the common U.K. board thicknesses. There are two versions on Thingiverse Domino 500 Replacement Stop by paulrbarnard

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

I got around to printing some clips to hold my click it cable to the extractor hose. Not my design this time, it’s from Thingiverse. I did modify the file to make two sizes as I have the 5 meter hose which gets quite a bit thicker towards the extractor end.

    Series 3: Britain's Best Woodworker

To be honest judging on the design and ‘appeal’ of the project is probably a much better approach than trying to judge joinery that has been rushed to an arbitrary timeline. I’m finding this series have improved year on year.

I worked on a system that did something like that 30 years ago. It was for South Africa. When your car got hijacked you waited for it to get a bit down the road, hide yourself and press the disable transmitter. It killed the engine and the hijackers typically abandoned the vehicle.

Yes but a heck of a lot easier to pop out side to plug it in than drive to a garage. I’m sure the car app would let me know it needed charging too rather than it being an unpleasant surprise as I’m about to set off.

    Electric vehicles

I’m actually in a village a few miles south east of Shepton so the scarcity of filling options is even worse. There is one in Shepton, a couple in Wells and then Frome or Midsommer Norton. All of them similar distances away. I’m not the problem. My Landrover always has a few hundred miles of...

Hi Phil, pleased to meet you. I’m someone who has on multiple occasions had to go out specially to get fuel, drive in the wrong direction and generally find trying to get to a petrol station a pain in the proverbial. Most recent Example: Last Friday night my wife told me she was going to visit...

Personally I would rather have the panels on the roof of my house along with a big storage battery bank.

I think it depends on the car. Take a test drive in a Rimac. I suspect it wouldn’t be so bland. Seriously though when you compare like models the EV out perform the ICE.

Maybe it has changed but when I was commuting with my bike it was a nightmare. It got to the point where I had to put my bike in a bag on some trains. In the end I just cycled the whole trip (20 miles each way)

Part of the problem with trains is London. If London wasn’t there it would be far easier to get from anywhere not in London to France. London is a big blocker for anyone wanting to anywhere other than London. The tube is not a good option with suitcases…
