    TV advertising quality!

I go one step further, I have a Humax Foxsat HDR (With Raydons Custom Firmware) Record the programme, then copy it over to a PC on the LAN, top & tail and edit out the ad breaks, then re-encode with Handbrake to a custom size/format. Sounds complicated and time consuming but actually isn't. The...

Ive done my time son, dont you worry about that.

What, did the boss hold a gun to his head? No. The guy chose to do it that way. He may well have been put under pressure to do so, but the choice was his to make. 'He'd have gotten the sack if he hadn't' I hear you say, I'd say a small price to pay all things considered. But this is the tip of...

It seems Amazon introduced the 'Ad Free' service in Feb (2024) an extra £2.99 per month on top of the Prime subscription. From a cursory look, I thought Pi-Hole might block it, but apparently not. I'm guessing Amazon must be strapped for cash to make such a move :ROFLMAO:

Very much doubt it, that's Apple for you. Personally I wouldn't touch any Apple product with a barge pole, and MS the same once Win10 stops getting updates, detest closed systems. Back on topic, it's not just the ads that are worse nowadays, TV in general has been so dumbed down for the masses...

Any tips for a small paint drying station?

Exactly what I was about to suggest, only mod I'd do is to chuck the dowel in a cordless drill, then create a dull point on one end of each dowel on the disc sander

I've never used a sliding mitre saw before, but I've just bought one. Looking for safety/operating advice.

Good beginner project for the new saw, plenty of repeat cuts (I assume, without seeing a drawing) Just don't get complacent with each successive cut, treat every cut like it was life or death, and keep kids and other distractions out of the way. I think what @Bingy man is referring to here is a...

Ledged and braced gate between properties.

So as a general rule of thumb, does the good face of a fence facing the neighbours side denote ownership? I know it's good etiquette, but often wondered as to whose responsible for the upkeep, repair etc

    Lidl Offers

Lets say something is mispriced on the SEL, the numpty with the Texlon printed the label £29.99 instead of £299.99, the store is under no obligation to sell for £29.99 Once money has exchanged hands and the contract between customer and store is complete, then all bets are off, the store can...

    Lidl Offers

And what's wrong with that? Worth remembering that the SEL (Shelf edge label) is only an OFFER to sell at that price, they aren't required to sell at that price.

    Grabber/Litter Picker

Necessity is the mother of invention. I'm sure this design could be improved upon and made more heavy duty, cracking little project to mull over.
