    How is this done?

You can't reverse a door in it's frame and expect it to fit, doesn't work that way. You'll 99% of the time need to refit the door to the frame to some extent.

    US Election November 5th

Trump thinks the climate crisis is a hoax, Harris actually quoted him as such in her response. For your edification

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Which sleeves did you use? Two Fussy Blokes brand seems to get good reviews, might have to give them a go (y)

    US Election November 5th

The ONE topic I wanted to hear about was the climate crisis, conveniently left till the last topic for debate. Harris gave a good account of the amount of investment made under Biden, "The young people of America care deeply about this issue" etc. Trump totally skirted the issue. WHAT!?! The...

    Awkward Space Storage Solutions?

You could just use the dollies/crates idea to bring each one forward in turn, then stack to one side of the doorway to gain access to the one you're after. Another Edit. This idea works BTW as it's the exact setup I have for understairs storage in the house. 'Beer Crate' (400w x 260d x 270h)...

    Awkward Space Storage Solutions?

Make some timber beer crate sized boxes out of 3mm MDF grooved on the table saw into (say) 40x10mm strips of timber. Form these into panels, screw together, cut a hand hold on each side, 6mm ply base. Then knock up some dollies, stack the crates on the dollies, wheel in and out as needed. That...

    Budget hardpoint saw for carpentry

As above, or a Bahco 244, Toolstation etc do them for under a tenner, get the 22", NOT the 20". Been my go-to handsaw for more years than I care to remember, mostly onsite, perfectly suited to the job you're doing (y)

    Old pc update.

Few weeks ago I picked up a refurbished HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF (I5 6500/16GB RAM) from Ebay for a 78 y/o neighbour, cost £50 (seller was local so picked up, same price delivered) The only thing extra it needed was a Displayport to Hdmi adapter, a fiver from Amazon. Came with a 120GB SSD...

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

There's also far more abuse given to site saws, and there's also the "Ooh look, I've heard of these. let's see if it works!" mentality that often goes hand in hand with site work. Point being, if a SawStop trips for whatever reason on site, you're pretty much stuffed.

    Oak picture rail joints

Yes. And very much a no-no ;) Edit. BTW, I'd reverse the butt and scribe in the top left hand corner, as it stands, any gap that may develop you are looking straight at as you enter the room. If you reverse it, you'd have to be stood on the far wall to see a gap. Just my twopennorth.

    Old pc update.

Just be careful installing Linux beside Windows, the grub bootloader will make removing either pretty damned difficult. The better way would be to install Linux on one hard drive, (SSD preferably) unhook it, then install Windows on another drive altogether, re-attach the 1st drive then boot...
