    CBN wheels

I've got a wide Cbn on a crusen slow speed grinder - it's great. Wide wheel def easier if you like swept back wings on larger gouges. Possible on 20 mm wheels of course, just easier. Also I don't think cost massive difference? Re proposed set-up, I'm struggling to visualise but you obviously...

    woodrat parts are they useable?

The plunge bar can be useful if it fits your router ( some use them in router tables for one handed raise / lower). Rest needs the woodrat I'm afraid. S

    Router trouble (DeWalt 625 / Trend T11 / CMT 1850)

Thanks Jack. I feared this may be where this is going - I'll see,if anyone has any bright ideas but may end up with this route. £90 seems steep for a simple replacement circuit but I guess you've been through that loop. Simon

    Router trouble (DeWalt 625 / Trend T11 / CMT 1850)

Hi folks, After some pointer please. I've got a cmt1850 router (pretty much identical to the Dewalt 625). It is quite a few years old but has done almost no work as has been in storage for a while. I used it today and worked fine for first 10 mins, then the cutter slowed to 'idle' speed...

Record Power Coronet Herald Heavy Duty Cast Iron Electronic

Just looking at spec and I'm a bit confused on capacity. Listed as: Maximum bowl diameter: 533 mm Maximum swing over bed: 355 mm So does this mean the 533 is max diameter to turn and give tool rest banjo space if swing is 355 over bars (which would be very unusual / generous) OR is max over...

    Vertical mill

Hi, I'm looking for a 'nice' bench top mill and am really tempted by the axminster sx3 machine. Anyone got any insight on these to offer, are they a badged mill made by another as guess aptc won't sell enough to warrant design / tooling alone? Thanks Simon

The beginnings of my workshop - workbench

Depending on what type of work you're,planning on, it may benefit from a plane to flatten it. I'd scrub with stiff brush to remove embedded grit and then flatten it with a no 7 or similar.

    Identifying tools

Yep. Them's the ones! Perform used to be Axminster's hobby range tool brand - think B&D vs Makita. Perfectly serviceable and will get you going. Marples aren't really known for turning tools (and may be carbon rather than high speed steel) but will be fine. Only tool not there is a bowl...

    EXOCET

I have one and quite enjoy using it but I must say I prefer my Rolly Tool but more from a 'feeling' perspective than any great difference in performance! Do you have one or are just looking at mo (I could be pursuaded to sell mine as I say, I don't really need both!). Re spares, I'm not...
