    Vitra bathroom fittings failing

I was wondering how a badly moulded toilet would affect the flush but that makes - add years of limescale into the mix . Old school high level cisterns never had these problems..🤔🤔

    Vitra bathroom fittings failing

When you say everything I assume new syphon and ball valve and the water supply is not restricted in any way - limescale is usually the culprit.. 🤔

    Vitra bathroom fittings failing

There is always an element of risk taking them apart , the last one I fitted had stainless steel bolts and wing nuts so hopefully that will last longer . I mean who designs these set ups with steel bolts that will spend their entire life submerged in water🤔🤔🤔 as for replacing the it you can get...

    Vitra bathroom fittings failing

There are 2 wing nuts or 2 bolts within the cistern and these will basically bolt the cistern to the pan . Be prepared as they often rust in . They will extend through the cistern and emerge through the pan …So water off , flush cistern, disconnect overflow if fitted , remove any screws securing...

Powertool World - any experiences of this online retailer??

I’ve had a few Milwaukee batteries and a multi tool , had an empty Milwaukee case too for under £20 . Quick delivery and no issues. Edit the case alone was under £20 not the other stuff 🫣

    Greenhouse painting

What size is it, how deep are the birthday fund pockets . Greenhouses are now available in several colours so would a replacement be less painful ( apart from the cost ) I have just painted a soil pipe and waste pipes due to damage caused by rendering. Hand painted, 3 coats , and it looks pretty...

Advice on a compound saw blade that is less flexible

Hi and welcome, the multi material blades are thin for a reason, a thicker blade would not be very safe cutting metal for eg . If you fit the wider blade you might experience kickbacks as the tooth geometry will be different again to the multi material blade . It could be fine but you will need...

    The colour of plywood.

Be careful with online suppliers as often what’s advertised or shown is nothing like what you will receive and if you accept the delivery you are effectively saying you’re happy with the goods . The delivery charges can also be extremely high..

I also can’t help you with a workshop to rent but you are in the best place to get help . Given the likelihood of high prices could you build one at your home or even consider a large shed or shipping container. I’m guessing a years rent + your storage costs would would be a lot more than buying...

My most horrible food mistake so far...

Chicken feet have been eaten by many West Indian families and I believe Asian families for years . Along with tripe , cow foot and oxtail to name but a few .. I regularly eat oxtail but tripe , cow foot and chicken feet etc I’ll give them a very wide birth .

My most horrible food mistake so far...

The world or at least some of does seem to have gone a little mad on these meat free alternatives and of course the money aspect from greedy supermarkets has a big part to play in this . You make a good point regarding vegans not being fully catered for years ago so I suppose it’s a case of...

    The colour of plywood.

Plywood will vary from one supplier to the next , also the different grades also play a major role in what the finished product looks like. As you say if your budget is set then my advise would be to visit as many suppliers as you can within your area and see what’s available. It’s fair to say...

Anyone got a suggestions for cutting 6-8mm thick perspex

Although not as accurate a multi tool is good for cutting most plastics due to the finer blades , speed control makes it even better imho
