Table saw blade loud whistling / ringing

I have no real experience on this issue but logic dictates that I’d remove the blade and the securing bolt etc and simply run the saw without the blade . If there is no noise without the blade you have your answer . lots of members have this brand of saw so see what other advice you get from...

Gorgeous and I’ll repeat - you don’t need to beat yourself up for any mistakes you make along the way, we all make them but it’s what we learn from our mistakes that make us better and more successful in the long run.

    Theft Prevention

All I can say to that is I hope I never actually catch anyone stealing my tools or anything else I own for that matter. It’s up to all of us to make it as difficult as possible for them to get at the tools and for me this starts with not advertising them when loading up your van etc hopefully no...

Vaillant EcoTec 624 Gas Boiler shutting down with overheating code F76

So usually a new heat exchanger but not always ( imho) but vailiant won’t tell you that you can actually get the thermal fuse on eBay - not suggesting you go this route but compared to the overall cost of a new boiler then it’s probably worth a try ( if this is your issue) . Seems like a poor...

Vaillant EcoTec 624 Gas Boiler shutting down with overheating code F76

I’m assuming the boiler has a limescale filter fitted so it won’t hurt to get it changed as they all have various life expectancy. As with a sludge filter these also vary in design and not all are effective. As for you fault if it’s shutting down and displaying the fault code that quickly it...

Vaillant EcoTec 624 Gas Boiler shutting down with overheating code F76

Years ago I had a system boiler that was not circulating — a common but bad practice was to remove the thermostat phial from the cast iron heat exchanger and let it run for a few minutes - I had my hand on the flow expecting it to get hot 🥵 it didn’t so I did the same with the return 😢😢😢😢 omg as...

Vaillant EcoTec 624 Gas Boiler shutting down with overheating code F76

No disrespect but if you hold a 22mm pipe when as the boiler goes into overheat mode you can easily end up with a severe burn or scalding as the latent heat is pumped out of the heat exchanger. Even on a conventional system boiler the heat exchanger only contains a small amount of water and...

Vaillant EcoTec 624 Gas Boiler shutting down with overheating code F76

The previous posts have probably covered most of the potential causes all of which can cause an overheat fault. Worth checking that the radiator valves have not been turned off. Trv valves can be turned to the off position by the customer and then stick in the closed position when turned back on...

    Sealing melamine?

I use Dow Corning clear silicone along the cut edges and also on any ends that but up to a wall. Leave it to cure overnight and then give it a 2nd coat . As above depending on the type of sink you’re fitting a thin bead of silicone around the perimeter of the sink prior to fixing the sink ...

Engineered wood flooring - concrete floor prep

Just weird that it rises up and over the threshold like that instead of being at a lower level. I think contacting the builder and or the plans should confirm it one way or the other.. if any concerns regarding radon gas then there are alarms to alert you that are relatively cheap

Engineered wood flooring - concrete floor prep

It’s quite strange but looking at your photos I’d strongly suspect there is something under that screed or concrete- my reasoning for this is why would the builder not of just screeded the entire floor instead of leaving that part covered in yellow plastic .. so I’d just remove it as it’s not...

Engineered wood flooring - concrete floor prep

As I said previously the only reason I can think of leaving a void or duct is for pipes or cables . But the route under a door frame is not best practice. Are there any pipes or cables emerging either side of the door frame . Yellow is usually associated with gas but it could be anything. Does...

I have a similar personality in that I can only accept perfection but in reality I may get 97/98 % but it’s that drive for perfection that keeps you always trying harder and harder. The mistake (s) you make this time around you will not make the next . Next project you might make a different...

Anything with a torx head as they are much easier to drive in and less likely to cam out like pozidrive or Philips head screws . As above 50mm would give you approximately 30 mm into your joists . I miss understood when you said fibreglass as pre formed fibreglass sheets and not the flat roofing...
