    Best selling car 2023

Personally, I can't see this happening. I have often heard people suggest it, as though it's an obvious solution that's somehow been overlooked by the car manufacturers, but I think there would be too many downsides. Who's going to check the batteries for safety/state of health/damage etc.? All...

But that's two words! And one of them is a contraction of another two, so two and a half words really... Let's hope he doesn't need the services of the grammar-police firefighter!

What chuck for Arundel j4 junior m24x2.5 spindle?

I have male and female 1/2" BSP fittings to test, but won't be able to do so until I can sneak away for 5 minutes..

What chuck for Arundel j4 junior m24x2.5 spindle?

Understood. But maybe that's just approximating to the nearest 1/8", as it does correspond more closely with 1/2" BSP.

I'll bet the outboard thread is 3/8" BSP as well. Maybe odd, but taps and dies easy to find!

    Joke Thread 4 (closed).

I'm not offended, but would like to make the point that jokes about "Gypos" or folk who have different views on gender to you, are effectively taking the moral high ground. Many of these jokes used to exist as racist slurs, back when I was a kid, and I've no doubt that they still do. In fact I'd...

What chuck for Arundel j4 junior m24x2.5 spindle?

I probably won't get out to the shed to try more photography today, what with it being the most wonderful time of the year and all that, but I have to say that I really can't see it being a one-off, as apart from having two faceplates that fit, and don't, to my untutored eye, look to be...

What chuck for Arundel j4 junior m24x2.5 spindle?

Happy Christmas to you and yours too, and thanks for taking the time to reply. The inboard and outboard face plates are original, I would guess, and it also came with a collet chuck that looks to hold a half inch diameter workpiece, and I can't see that being made to order. It is indeed mysterious.

What chuck for Arundel j4 junior m24x2.5 spindle?

Yes, outboard end is a left hand thread. I have faceplates for both inboard and outboard. I have two pairs of cheapo digital calipers and one pair of Mititoyo(sp?) which are pretty trustworthy. So I'm very confident about the diameter, and fairly confident about the thread pitch. Thanks for your...
