Finishing shed cladding - Gap or no gap at base for cedar cladding

Cedar cladding is unlikely to keep rodents out, in my opinion. I'd leave the 70mm gap, that is, after all, one of the reasons for the bricks, isn't it? To keep the cladding out of the damp.

    bandsaw tyres.

In my humble opinion, meths and IPA would be equally effective. I tend to have IPA on hand, but I expect meths is cheaper.

    bandsaw tyres.

I was lucky in that I ordered the tyres in America, and had them brought over by one of my numerous American brothers in law. It was a lot cheaper than way. That was at least 15 years ago, so things may have changed.

    bandsaw tyres.

I've done it on my Inca. Bought orange urethane tyres, soaked in hot water, and used a couple of Irwin quick clamps to help with fitting. No glue. Expected it to be a giant hassle, but surprisingly easy.

Armouring internet cable under grave driveway

I'm surprised. You seem to know a lot about this stuff, but light and RF are essentially electromagnetic waves in the real world. And I never said that light was the same as WiFi... I was, however, being flippant.

Armouring internet cable under grave driveway

You have a point. They're both electromagnetic waves, just one's a much higher frequency.

Armouring internet cable under grave driveway

Probably a simple typo, like "feasability".

    It Stopped Raining

    Started raining again.

    feasability

How big are the panels? I've bought 9mm and 11mm phenolic ply offcuts quite cheaply from FB marketplace in the past.

Let's be honest, elephants don't talk either.

Fitting in line fan in attic.

What fan unit did you use, by the way?

Fitting in line fan in attic.

Ok, could be 110. I thought 100 was pretty standard, so just waved a tape measure at it, rather than using calipers or anything. Presumably 125mm flexible will still clamp to it?

Fitting in line fan in attic.

Ok. Great. So it's push fit with rubber seals? I was planning on using bendy plastic or aluminium ducting, and possibly suspending the fan for quietness.

Fitting in line fan in attic.

I'd like to replace the ceiling mounted fan in our bathroom with an inline fan in the attic. The current fan, despite making more noise than a 747 taking off, is ineffectual at best. There is pipework in the attic, 10mm diameter, with a couple of elbows. I'm not familiar with these fittings...

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Apologies to Artie. Seems I was wrong.

    Cheaper v more expensive tools

I can only fold my bandsaw blades by accident. I eventually get it done, but never seen to remember how.

Also saves water, as I understand things.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

If I remember correctly, there was a 12 week(?) training course for EPC "surveyors". I believe it is possible to get quite different ratings from different operatives. [Anecdote alert] A friend in the village recently downsized from his converted pigsty/milking shed, and had the foresight to...

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Good ideas, but I suspect the question was rhetorical.

Are EV's good value? Apparently not!

Ok, having watched the display on our plug in hybrid, it does do exactly what you suggest, but if you actually select "charge mode," then the efficiency goes down. We're lucky in that we bought a house that already had solar panels, and we rarely exceed the admittedly short range achievable on...
