Solution for rats in my garage

Glossopguy is a Canadian expat who writes infomercials for a living. He has red hair, spent some time ski-guiding in the French Alps, and used to own a parrot called Hector. You know my methods, Watson..

    Good point. Sorry.

    Joke Thread 4 (closed).

I didn't say just "non-plug-in" hybrids have regenerative braking. Obviously EVs and PHEVs also have regenerative braking. I was merely saying that the big boost in efficiency of non-plug-in hybrids is the regenerative braking. Plug in stuff has other advantages as well. Once again, what point...

Electricity is a form of energy. The energy used to accelerate could have been from the ICE. What point are you trying to make?

This is correct, in fact the big advantage of non-plug-in hybrids is that regenerative braking recovers a percentage of the energy used to accelerate. I thought this was common knowledge.

Douglas Fir is very durable. My workshop shed is a mixture of larch and DF waney edge, and is totally untreated.

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

I have to admit, I'm very curious about these smart toilets. There has to be a better solution than yards of toilet paper. Although I'd want a back up.

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

Might be worth a try, as a last resort. Is it just me getting old, or did the cisterns with handles and giant ballcocks work better?

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

Yes, I'll give that a go. Seems they're all dual flush nowadays..?

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

The actual flush is fine, it's just that you need a lot of determination to press the button firmly enough to start the flush.

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

It's a tube type, thought that was obvious from the thread title! Thanks for all the responses, I just wondered if there was a known hack/remedy. Will know more when I get round to a closer look.

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

Probably fairly old, but doesn't get a lot of use, as it's the spare bedroom. I'll take a more thorough look soon, when I finish all the other odd jobs..

    Shed treatment.

Thanks. I've ordered some Screwfix own brand. Not had any trouble with any of their other "non nonsense" range, so will see how it goes.

    Pneumatic toilet flush button.

My wife's 800 year old American stepmother may be visiting us later this year. The toilet flush in the bathroom she'd be using is almost impossible to operate, even for big brutes like me. It's one of those fancy concealed cisterns. Are there any tips and tricks? Is there any mileage in changing...

I don't think you can buy proper creosote any more.

    Shed treatment.

In the process of erecting flat-pack shed for storage of gardening stuff. Instructions say to paint with "oil based wood preservative". Any recommendations? Most stuff I can find seems to be water based these days.

Solution for rats in my garage

Baseboards? Sounds a bit American. Call me suspicious, but the whole post sounds a bit fake. Know a fence?
